Trample Should Count As A Pet

Why? Because what's the point of even having sets like Necropotence and Ritualist if you're never going to add new abilities that interact with it?

Just tested this yesterday on my Sorc and the very moment the skill didn’t get the 45% damage increase, I wrote it of as yet another skill that I will never, on any of my builds, use.

Not only does the skill have a cast time that is atrocious, you have to WAIT the entire time for the mount to get from point A to point B before queuing up another cast.

Trample doesn’t do enough damage to work as part of a burst combo, and doesn’t activate fast enough to work as a spammable… what purpose does it serve?

i dont think it would make sense for some of those sets like necropotence

if your only form of a pet would be trample, you would get +2000 max mag for the 2 seconds that its active and then you would lose the bonus again

the pet ones that require a pet to be active should only work with entities that are more persistent (maw of the infernal is a good example)
    plays PC/NA
    handle @Necrotech_Master
    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

Does Blastbones count? I know it works with the Storm Atronach timed Ultimate, but have not had a chance to test Necropotence on a Necromancer.

Kind of the main problem with pets in ESO…

They are all so different in functionality. For example, you have Shade and Skeletal Mage that functions as a DoT that you can change the targets of. No health bars, take up one bar slot and has an associated skill timer with no cast time. Then you have the monkey, flappy bird, and Yogi, which all have health bars, are not timed skills and can be reactivated to command them to do special attacks, but have a garbage 2 bar slot requirement and a weird outdated cast time that I abhor vehemently.

We really need a pet standardization update where all pets are held to the same standards.

Personally, I would love to see healthbars, durations, and special attacks with one bar requirements.

Well it'd make perfect sense for things like Ritualist or Hunt Leader.

You actually can't change the target of Skeletal Mage. It's supposed to attack the closest hotbox to you, but that doesn't always work in some environments like PvP, where it just kind of does what it wants.

It isn't affected by the command pet keybind, nor does it target the targets you've heavy attacked like Sorc pets.

Exactly my point, yet another deviation from every other type of summon.

Where the rest of the game is standardized, pets were left behind in the dust.

pets have been left in such a wonky state, either completely OP (in PvE) to account for the double bar requirements, or completely useless because of the lack of the double bar requirements.

then there's other things like necro pets not counting as either pets nor dots but some strange both but neither thing
