Error 334: Lost lobby connection

Anyone PLEASE help me make this stop. I've spent hours turning addons off and on again one by one and I can't find the cause.

Three our of four ports end up in a disconnect. No matter where or how I port, if it implies a load screen, 3/4 times I get a disconnect.

The game is becoming unplayable for me. PLEASE HELP!!!

    Since 3 days I also get this message again and again when I log through my 10 chars. Just now 2x again. Can someone take a look at what problem the “lobby” is having again?

    from my humble point of view - it is not an addon problem. the connection is terminated by the server.

    when whatever issue emerges i try to understand what has changed recently, as this is, often, might be the root cause.
    the answer is simple: housing catalogue update at U43.
    nowadays players visit others houses times more often than before.
    this requires the server to create a new housing instance, when you travel to an empty house,
    allocating memory, registering the new instance global unique ID, moving players character there,
    also deallocating resources, unregistering ID, garbage collection, when an instance becomes unused again..

    in my humble guess, the server cannot handle the load. testing at PTS with dozens of such teleports
    and many processing thousands of these at the live server are two big differences, as Odessa use to say.

    the effect is most noticeable at PC/EU at peak hours, as most of EU players belong to CET and CET+1 timezones,
    while PC/NA is a bit smoother as there are 3 hours difference between East and West coasts of US.
    Still, very few problems outside of peak hours, and a lot during the later.

    i doubt Zeni could fix that, as this is server capacity problem, or, a bad coded transactions,
    so Err 334 is becoming a new ESO feature, i guess, for years.

    of course, this are just my observations and i play both at PC/EU and PC/NA at different times.
    i may be wrong, but enabling/disabling addons have zero effect, so i am concerned, disconnections are the server issue.

    TL/DR; do not play at peak hours.

    I would echo the thoughts of others that this is not an Addon issue, it is happening to me as well.

    If the Dev Team are looking to replicate this bug for troubleshooting purposes, I'd suggest Fast Travel to owned houses - which seems to trigger it more often than Wayshrines.

    Yeah, I've done the troubleshooting multiple times and also opened a couple of tickets in the past and both times they sent me back to do the troubleshooting.

    So thanks, but no thanks.

    It was happening to me several times on PC EU and PC NA yesterday, and I don't use any addons, ever, so it isn't addons.

    In my case, it was happening when I was trying to enter an Oblivion portal, or trying to enter or leave the Vivec City Outlaws Refuge. I was able to get back in afterward, but basically I think it happens because of heavy internet traffic and demand on the server, leading to lengthy load times, leading to disconnects (possibly if trying to change zones when your current zone hasn't finished loading and rendering in).
    I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

    Same problem for me. Typical that ZOS once again implies that the problem is on the player's side. :/

    Well, in one recent thread about audio problems, a player said that they did a repair of the game and it resolved their issue, so the problem very well could be on our side.

    It's not a problem on the user side, and I'm highly confident ZOS knows the problem is on their server side.

    I've "repaired" the game multiple times as well, problem persists. Like others have said: I'm pretty sure ZOS is at fault here, not the players.

    Just got dced while loading a dungeon. Not only did the server kick me out, it now thinks I left the dungeon by choice.

    Sorry, Bill, I don't have a current ticket number. Like I said, I won't file any more tickets since it's proven to be a waste of time.

    Here is a little update.
    I did not need to do any of the actions. Since the new patch v10.1.6 from 03.09.2024 was applied, the problem has at least no longer occurred for me. In the morning of 03.09.2024, before the patch 2-3 times, in the evening after the patch never again. I won't comment on who caused the problem. :smiley:
    I have updated my ticket accordingly.
