as the mundus stones don't work unless set to the VISITOR status, it seems other furnishings such as the undaunted warhorns also don't work. It's possible other interactbales are behaviong strangely too and might need looked into.

Same here. Homes set to "Visitor" and no one can interact with "Markarth Barrier, Low" furnishings, the dock/harbor bell or warhorn.
