Did they remove auto-preview ?

I'm in collections, normally I can mouse over something, and you get the little hand held magnifier, so if you mouse click once it shows you the preview.

Kinda handy.

Today, I don't get that option anymore. Now its right click preview, select preview.

Its a small thing. But the concept eludes me. Did someone decide, 'oh that one click is too easy, let's make this a bit more of a nuissance' ?

and of course it won't let me edit.

I did check to see if it was my system, so completely rebooted, same effect

To edit the initial post of the thread when you are the author, look for the gear icon next to the post title (usually on the right at least on PC), click that, and it will let you edit both title and body of the post.

I was wondering why it was so easy to equip things now.

It seems that they did remove click-once-to-preview. I'm actually happy about that - when they added it, that meant that the double-click-to-equip (which we've had since the collections menu started) often was read as a single click, and it took people two or three times to figure out if they had something equipped or if they were stuck in preview mode. That was especially annoying for things that aren't dyeable like costumes, since you didn't know it was only being previewed and not equipped until you left the menu. I'd much rather make an effort to preview something and then quickly equip it as opposed to the other way around.

You mean that I will be at Impressario f.e. I can normalny buy thing without auto preview? That I normaly morph Indriks without asking why it preview it and not morphing and not bothering to find that damned "use" button? Yay thaank ZoS!

I get frustrated at times when they keep making changes like this. It's minor, true. But I like to change appearances often, and I have a ton of different appearance items on my account. So now I have to either equip each appearance item, or right click and choose "Preview". When it used to be as simple as a single click to see how it would look.

The thing is, in the past, the appearance items USED to have the little magnifying glass to show you a quick preview with a single click. THEN they made it so EVERYTHING in your collections menu had the magnifying glass, including companions. That was annoying, because to summon a companion, you had to sometimes triple click. Anyway, I complained about that change when that patch went live...

But now it's like they overdid it in the opposite direction, and removed EVERY preview option.

What I think they should do is simple: Add a TOGGLE in the OPTIONS menu called "Enable Appearance PREVIEW" and that gives you the magnifying glass for APPEARANCE items only. (Not everything in the collectibles menu.) Then everyone wins.
