Help with ESO Resolution/Aspect Ratio

I have an Ultrawide monitor (3440x1440) and I'm trying to play ESO in 2k (2560x1440) with black bars on the side (for performance reasons).

Usually when I'm playing a game in fullscreen and I set the resolution to 2560x1440 the game just puts black bars on the side and that's it. In ESO it's a little bit different, when I'm playing fullscreen with 2560x1440 resolution, the game just stretches instead of placing the black bars.

Any of you experience that before? Is it possible to make it happen?

You should be able to change the resolution settings in the ESO launcher settings. If you go to the cog with the head in the middle in the upper right of the launch. There should be a drop down for launcher or windows. That should help. If not, we can look into settings that could help.

Hi Kevin, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, these settings only seem to affect my launcher size/resolution. I've tried different combinations of settings, but it had no effect in the game. Even if I close and reopen the game before adjusting the settings.

There may be options in your video card software to help with the aspect ratio.

Are you currently playing on a Nvidia or AMD graphics card?

Hi Bill, I'm playing on a Nvidia graphics card (RTX 3070ti).
I'm aware of a scaling option in the Nvidia control panel.
The option I'm using right now is "Aspect Ratio", but I've also tried "No Scaling" and "Full-Screen". Unfortunately, neither of these options have any effect in the game, the game is always stretched no matter what option I choose. Whereas in other games, if I change the Nvidia Panel settings, it takes effect immediately and works as it should.
I'm not sure why my ESO doesn't take the options in the Nvidia Panel into account.

Thanks for the update regarding the Nvidia settings. I would recommend at this point opening a support ticket with our customer support.
