Are there plans for cross play on the consoles servers ?

I would like to know if there are any plans for merging the servers for example betwen PS EU and XBOX EU, since these have a lower population then for example the NA servers.

Has Zos anything planned about enabling cross play, even if it would be in another variation ? Other sucessfull games have crossplay too and it would be great if we could play with friends from other platforms aswell.

After what happened in April, I don't want ZOS to attempt doing proper crossplay at all.

what exactly happened in April please ? Also im specificly asking for the Console servers.

When Gold Road became available on PTS, it was accidentally connected to the PC-NA server instead. Any changes that players made on PTS affected PC-NA, this included getting millions of currencies, infinite amount of Transmutation Crystals, all sorts of armor sets, boosters, collectibles, deleting characters and so on. Because of that, PC-NA had to be taken down for an extended period of time, with rollbacks being applied to everyone, ensuring all of the items brought over from PTS were removed from everyone.

Imagine if this happens again, but with consoles added to the mix. That would be more disastrous in my opinion.

I dont think because of one bad happening in 10 years, they should not try it.

Problems and issues are there to be solved.
Also this had nothing to do with cross play at all & another also is, there is no pts on console.

They have not announced any plans regarding crossplay, cross save, server transfers, or anything similar.

Their past statements have been to the effect that the game was not designed with the capability of moving accounts and characters between servers, it poses a number of technical challenges, and they have not developed nor have any plans to develop a tool to allow this. About a year ago Kevin posted that they have nothing new to announce, but that he would provide player requests and feedback on the issue to the dev team. I'm not aware of any updates since then, so while it could be something they're quietly working on, I wouldn't expect it to happen anytime soon.

There are no plans for this. In addition the servers are too far out of sync with economy. In addition, add ons would make it a two tier system

That's not happening. The best we can hope for—and I'm hoping for it—is account copying from console to PC.

I agree everything isnt about PC, merging console servers would be nice or maybe dungeons, battlegrounds, cyro etc.

Now that ZOS is owned by Microsoft it's less likely than it was when zos was independent.

It's more likely for xbox servers to ne merged with PC servers.

in this video from june, the interviewed person is saying cross play is more likely to happen then account transfer. Account transfer isnt worth the effort for them and they woud rather do cross play but there are technical aspects to consider ans they wanna make it propperly.

I hope its happening. I would love to play with friends from other console platform and there are only benefits of it.
If the game is active and alive, people more likely spend money on it.

From a population and a play with my friends standpoint, I would love it. But after Microsoft bought Bethesda, I don't see that happening.

I play pvp and pve content mostly, the game on ps eu feels so incredible empty, its no fun anymore.

Even Cyrodiil feels empty. Yous need to know on PS EU only GH ever has bars, Blackreach is always empty and so is IC.

So Friday 8 pm , we cant even get these 60 player per faction full, wich is sad.




I really only see crossplay betwen consoles to save this game for consoles.

I would love it, even if I "lost" all my PS5 progress. Play on the PS5 OR the PC with my characters would be great.

I HOPE I AM WRONG! Please ZOS, prove me wrong! Just combine my purchases and such into one set. Combining characters could be rough, but I would live with almost any reasonable solution to play on my big screen TV when I want or on the PC when I wanted addons!

A related but different item would be to give me all the "stuff" I have earned or bought in game on both the PS5 and PC. I have many event mounts on one or the others. (Also applies to NA vs. EU)

And make motifs account-wife.... And....

Many would not, you then have players demanding the implementation of an add on system for consoles, that would not necessarily be possible or have the creators needed to write to such addons depending on the coding language needed.

Crossplay between consoles, ok.
Crossplay between consoles and PC, absolutely not. Addons are the major problem.
