Prior Thierric's shoulder motif dropping?

as far as I understood if you have done the dungeon in hardmode you should have quite a decent drop rate for the motif. I just spent 17 keys and nada.

Or did I miss something here?

17 keys isn't really enough to really toy with the RNG droprate. I've seen some not drop until I've spend around 30.

While there does tend to be an issue with shoulders not dropping from the 1-key coffers, that issue usually affects the 'first-run' shoulder styles, as it did for the Blind. We haven't gotten any brand new ones since the Blind though, and then Kargaeda before that (almost a year before that!).

Thierric's has been dropping during it's last run, so it's likely that that is not bugged. I haven't tested myself yet, but again having the HM to double the drop rate does not make it practically guaranteed - it's more like the drop rate goes from around 1% to 2% or so. I don't know the exact numbers, but most people with the HM can get it before they spend 50 keys.

The Hard Mode Achievement only affects the Mask Style Page drops, as far as I know.

The Hard Mode Achievement only affects the Mask Style Page drops, as far as I know.

It affects both.
