Infuriating AP tick

As you can see in this image, Mayhem is a very active event.
A massive +850 casualties battle at Alessia castle gate and inner. We, AD, won and defended the castle in the end.
It was extremely cool to do it, had a lot of fun.
We were all excited for the AP tick
And it happened
Come on, guess...
100k ? nah with double AP it should be like 300k at least right ?
It was 16k... We took Sejanus Outpost just after without trouble and it gave 13k

Why ?

AP Ticks are divided amongst your faction who have earnt AP at the fight, They are then also modified by the Keep's 'level'. The level of the keep is controlled by the resources. so a lvl 0 keep will give a low tick (likely this is why you got such a low amount).

If you want to upgrade the keep in the fastest manor possible you need to take the resources and then claim them for guilds to speed up the upgrade time.

You can check the 'level' of the keep by clicking on it on the map and seeing if it is level 2 or not for mine, farm and lumber.

Additionally each death of a player reduces the amount they actually contribute to the tick. So whilst you might have a really high kill amount if its just the same players dying over and over being res'd then you wont get as big a tick as you would expect.

    Very informative.
You mean like the Casualities AP bonus is : Other factions deaths - your faction deaths ?
So you say AP ticks are roughly = ((Base amount of Keep/Outpost/Town times their level multiplier) + Casualities bonus) divided among all of faction winner players in the fight ? (I'm excluding AP boosters like tortes and delve buff for the sake of comprehension)

I also want to specify that the screenshot is taken before the AP tick, we had for the most part all 3 ressources in the fight.

Oh that's what I thought obviously. But we were multiple in chat seeing the same problem : We only had a 16k defense tick.

It only matters the status of the resources at the end of the fight when the tick occurs (and if the keep is upgraded by those resources).

Simply put its essentially a % of the AP a player is worth with some multiplier. Both enemies and your faction counts towards these ticks (its basically a store of all AP earnt whilst there) x some multiplier (I think its roughly 7x for a tier 2 keep)

Outposts and towns don't have levels and instead always apply at a slightly boosted level (think of them as permanently at stage 1). So the tick amount goes in the following order: Lowest - Tier 0 keep, Medium - Town/Outpost/Tier 1 keep, High - Tier 2 Keep.

As I recall The formula in the past was : Total deaths (Offensive + Defensive)x 7000 // total defenders

Plus as Izanerys pointed out, once you defend your keep you should immediately go out and get the resources or else the numbers are reduced.

So, normally, if 3 players show up and you solo them at the keep FD you would get around a 21k d tick.

Of course in MYM the numbers are doubled.

So, its hard to see why your tick was so low, unless you had a huge number of defenders against a relatively small number of attackers.

By comparison, the other day we attacked Glade for ~1 hour , a trifaciton battle. DC defended successfully and reportedly got a 240k tick.

EP defended Arrius or BRK for about an hour the same day, and I know we got a 103k tick (with all 3 resources flipped to us )

Just did one of those great battles yesterday, full faction of DC attacked Brindle where full faction of AD were defending. We held and won in the end. We had 2-2-0 in terms of ressource levels and we got a 120k AP tick.
It had less casualities than the screenshot I posted here though.

Yeh the keep was tier 2, you would have possibly got more if all 3 were lvl 2 (sometimes they are and it's just bugged on the UI).
