Not getting double tel var drops during the event.

The IC quests are how you get an event ticket.

"on several characters" presumably means they are handing at least one daily quest in on at least one character, so probably they're still getting their 1 ticket daily from IC.

Yep, no double tel var in IC, and the event description clearly states there should be.

Maybe if ZOS ignores the complaints long enough they'll just go away and they can pretend all is well.

I actually came to the forums today regarding TelVar, but not from the IC satchels.

I finally had an opportunity to do some PVP this weekend, and went through and opened all the mailed rewards and gold boxes. I was shocked at the telvar amounts in them. Almost all were 20-40 telvar, and I could have sworn in previous MYMs it was much higher than that.

Perhaps I am mis-remembering, and it has always been only small amounts in the gold boxes, but you seem to be the crowd that may know.

Have the amounts in the gold boxes been reduced, too?

Where, besides the coffers from the dailies are people here not seeing double tel var? Since the second day of the event, I've consistently seen double tel var in the sewers. Topside was harder to judge until today, but I'm comfortable saying I was getting double tel var from the top bosses.

I can't say about the bosses, but I've definitely been getting double Tel Var from killing the mobs in the IC districts, since day 1 of the event. But the reward satchels have the standard 200 per satchel instead of the doubled amount from past events, and perhaps that's misleading people into thinking that nothing is dropping double Tel Var?

As for the Pelinal reward coffers, I think they're dropping the same amounts of Tel Var as in past events, although that's kind of difficult to say since the amounts vary-- any given coffer might contain some Tel Var, or might contain no Tel Var at all. That is how it's always been during the event-- Tel Var is not guaranteed to drop from the event coffers, and when it does drop the amount fluctuates a good bit but (as far as I can remember) is usually a modest amount, not huge.

It feels like it has to me too. The amount in chests from IC sewers seemed to take a dip quite some time ago too. I had been hitting bookshelves for lorebooks weekly and I now get as low as 20 tel var per chest. It’s been years since I got an Alliance motif from one as well.

Well, somebody at ZOS could have come in here and cleared this all up in 30 seconds. But it appears that there will be no communication on this matter. The event page says one thing, and people's anecdotal experiences are saying another. It's also interesting to note that in previous years, they have made it explicitly clear that drops from players would not be doubled. But there is no such notification of that this year. And it's rather curious that you can get double AP from killing players, but tel var is off limits.

The quantity of AP you get and the quantity of Tel Var you get from killing players are determined on completely different bases, and Tel Var gains from player kills are not capped like AP gains are. That may be part of the rationale for not permitting Tel Var gains from player kills to be doubled during the event.

Doubled player tel var gains I'm pretty sure you could just have two players kill each other taking turns and get a substantial gain in tel var over time. AP that gain will just tail off instead to a much lower gain rate.

The sacks from daily district quests are definitely only dropping 200 - but drops from monsters etc are dropping at double the rate (from what I can tell) and I spend quite a lot of time in Imperial City.

I seem to remember that in previous years the only time reward sacks drop x2 is during the specific Imperial City event, not Whitestrake's.

The event has 5 days left and this should've been hotfixed 6 days ago.

If it isn't going to be fixed, for commensurate reasons I don't believe it would hurt anyone to extend the event one or two more days for extra Tel Var.

If you have a runebox then there is a 1/3 chance the potential buyer could use it, unless they want one for another alliance that they don’t have. That was my thinking anyway. You’re probably right though, I should pull and list for 1k, they are just sitting there. I have lots of space in the trader now that everything has to sell fast so I gave it a try. May have to just delete them later.

the problem ive had trying to sell them is the bones are extremely plentiful especially during this event

when i was working on getting grand overlord, ive gotten nearly 150 bones in a single event

the pricing i was talking about was outside of the event, during the event they drop to like 1/2 to as low as 1/5 of the price

i think i got at least 1-2 yesterday while i was messing around in IC
