New Mythic Idea - Margolach's Band

Heavy Belt
Randomly thought up name. No Idea where I got it from. Giant perhaps? Orc? Don't know.
Effect:
  • While not bracing, gain extra armor (such as from Major/Minor Resolve or stackable equivalent.)
  • While bracing, become immobile and immune to all other disabling effects.
  • May have an extra effect granted to nearby allies.
The Idea was like a cross between Syrabane's Ward, Snow Treaders, Unstoppable/Immovable, and Storm Giant's Belt (dnd).

blocking already makes you immune to disabling effects unless the skill being used on you is specifically typed as "unblockable" (mostly relevant to pvp)

it also would not likely bypass NPC mechanics in trials/dungeons

+armor is not really that useful either, because of the armor cap of 33k, in pve, every tank already is sitting right around the 33k armor cap, it would maybe have a benefit in pvp where higher armor counters penetration but thats about it

without any clue what extra buff you would give to allies, it just seems like a marginally worse version of syrabanes ward

In a previous thread, someone said that giving the Snow Treaders the ability to immobilize you and grant you full CCI while bracing was too OP. So I made it a belt instead. This thread.

Although yes, with Snow Treaders and bracing you technically have full CCI except for unblockables (pvp), it doesn't proc CCI perks or CPs. I'm trying to think up a way, if not an update to snow treaders then a new mythic that does it. That way While Bracing you have CCI, and proc respective points.

Also, blocking apparently doesn't prevent the stun from sneak attacks. So, using Radiant Magelight to counter as of now. With this sort of Mythic, you'd have Immunity to all stuns, including from sneak attacks, because you'd have CCI (and rooted) while bracing.
Can't put it on Snow Treaders because people like their slow mobilty while bracing whilst being immune to snares and immobilizations.
Can't put it on Syrabane's because it'd get broken.
So, has to be a new one.
Perhaps it grants recovery to nearby allies? That's always a negligible effect but then it'd have more purpose than just keeping you from being stunned and such.

People keep saying that constant CCI would be broken. I've had one time where I was under 8 seconds of CCI (maxed CP perk btw) every few seconds via break free. PvE so not necessarily the same utility as PvP. Skeletons kept knocking me around and I kept disabling Meditate whenever I saw the red, broke free, then Meditated again. Did that soooo many times to make 75000 hp healed in Cyrodiil. 8 seconds only blocked one uppercut from them though. They don't do it that much apparently.

I just realized, one of my Original reasons for wanting a CCI mythic was Meditate. I hate getting knocked out of it.
Perhaps instead it's just a cannot be interrupted. Maybe it has a penalty of channels take longer to do the same amount of ticks? Or channels like Meditate less effective? I don't know.

But, there is another way to maintain CCI. A certain set and poison.
Escapists Poison. Alkhest, Columbine, Namira's Rot or Wormwood, Mountain Flower (health and stamina) or (forgot - health and magicka).
immobilize enemy and grant you unstoppable (cci) for 3.5 seconds, increase their (stam or mag) cost of abilities by 10% for 6-8 seconds, poison the enemy and heal you for 6-8 seconds. Can proc once every 10 seconds because poison cooldown.
Set to increase duration of poison effects by 4 seconds. 7.5 seconds of Unstoppable.
You'd basically never be able to be stunned while in combat. 2.5 second windows.

I may go for that instead of a Columbine poison or Oblivion Enchantment. Less damage output, but more survivability and escape capability.

Still, I wish we could get a permanent cci.

Maybe a Heavy Chestplate that grants you CCI at all times, but snares/slows you by 25-40% in combat?

permanent cc immunity would be insanely OP especially in pvp

most players i see in cyro who use meditate usually use immovable pots prior to use, as those give you basically cc immunity for like 10-15 seconds (it doesnt trigger cp related to cc immunity)

there is also cp that extend the duration of cc immunity

permanent cc immunity without triggering ccbreak would just be extremely OP, especially being able to get all functional benefits of the cp buffs to cc immunity without using a ccbreak

but having a mythic that gives you permanent cc immunity while blocking would make the already extremely annoying troll tanks even more annoying

I dont know why they are called troll tanks.
I call it the only way to survive when your internet likes giving up the ghost every 30 seconds.
The only thing I can do in PvP is hold block. Thus, Thews of the Harbinger is the best way I can deal damage.
Anything to boost my blocking capability is what I can do.

Since even enemy tanks seem to have over 5k damage and 45k penetration and 47k resistance, I need a way to survive because nothing gets me anywhere close. Not even their own builds.

The best build I've made is this:
    19k stam, 49k hp, 18k mag
1.2k damage, 16k pen (zero effect on anyone), 27k resistance
    Ice staff
    sword and shield
Radiant Magelight and Lingering Flare (Major Protection)
    Thews of the Harbinger
    Shattered Fate
    Lady Malagias Visage

Just traded Shattered Fate for Adamant Lurker, need to test it.

Every time I use Shadowy Disguise, I get hit in the back by a leap or teleport when I still have 1.5 seconds left.
So I don't have that slotted in PvP. I use it in PvE only.

What most people call META, is more like MIETA on my lousy connection.
    (Most Ineffective Tactic Available)
If it relies on chance procs, like most Metas do, it's the most ineffective thing I can have.

I just want to do my stuff in peace. I can find people who agree, plenty of people who agree. Matter of fact i once was in a Zurg of all 3 alliances running around doing the Imperial City daily quests. That was a fun day.
And then those times where some random idiot of the same alliance as a new friend you are playing with comes along to kill you. They can do nothing but watch as you get molested by their ally. Sometimes they are glad they aren't that guy's enemy, especially if they waste you swiftly. Other times, especially if they themselves are powerful, they wish they could defend you.

My block is almost perfect. Adamant Lurker may be the only thing I was missing for health sustain.
Dark Cloak would be beneficial, but then I'd have to battle every stinkin thing in PvE. I'd rather not. I'm also not wasting 3k-15k gold to toggle its morph every time I want to swap between PvP or PvE.

Block Cost 269. Takes them forever to break me. 84% block mitigation. They can't kill me that fast.
Except if they use AoE, like the OP ability that they get to have 3 down at a time of: Unblinking Eye. Yes, I've had many solo arcanists cast that on me in rapid succession. They hardly cast 3 beams on me and already have another eye on me. I cannot fathom it. Its damage cannot be blocked. I die so rapidly to that. No other class is so hazardous to me.

Anyway, it's only real strength is survivability. It's not used for real PvP, just surviving the dishonorable.

If you have honor, you won't continue fighting someone who is running away or just holding block.
    The dishonorable will slaughter mercilessly.
If they are on a flag, they are free game. If they are not around a flag or keep, leave them be.

people call them troll tanks because they dont do anything except distract (such as burning siege or people who dont know how to prioritize targets)

it has absolutely nothing to do with honorable/dishonorable play, a tank is there to absorb focus so that an ally can bomb or target the people focusing on the tank, but if they have no allies around they are just pointless and consume focus when its not needed

give those tanks free full cc immunity all the time, there will be nothing to stop them from camping out on a flag, burning siege indiscriminately, or capturing relics in BGs

i know people who pvp more regularly than me who are theory crafting some pure anti-tank builds focusing on stacking oblivion dmg

Then how about a necklace that makes you immune to players but unable to capture flags or participate in battle grounds.
    Unable to deal PvP damage.
    Unable to take PvP damage.
    Unable to do PvP progress.
Unable to join pure PvP (battlegrounds).

That would be lovely. I'd use that on all my characters when I go into Cyrodiil or Imperial City.
I'd be able to do all my daily quests unhindered. No more getting ganked while trying to battle a grievous twilight or deadroth.
Better yet, also make you completely invisible to enemy players, so they won't be tailing you everywhere hoping you'll remove it for some reason so they can gank you.

Can someone PLEASE Explain to me how people can have high damage, resistance, and penetration, when I can't even get half that and end up trading one for another when I try.
It's like they can get 100k points, and I can only get 50k. How do they do it?
Every guide I've tried has ended up within the 50k margin I'm stuck in.
How do they get to that 100k Margin?
    Is everyone hacking or something?
Some sort of glitch I've yet to find? - that's cheating btw so if there is then I guess I'm permanently screwed. I'm never using glitches. I don't want to get banned.
Just how? I cannot fathom it.

No one has the kind of power you're thinking about, they mainly use line of sight or speed boosts (celerity cp, race against time, 1 swift jewelry) to avoid taking damage, not insane resistance values. If they don't do that, they die in 5 seconds against zergs like everyone else does.
As for the damage, get weapon damage enchants on all your jewelry + warrior mundus + buffs like clever alchemist or rallying cry.
For good penetration, use sharpened maces and elemental susceptibility.

Btw I don't think your necklace idea is possible because people would just unequip it after their attackers give up to go capture resources. At least it shouldn't work in IC because why would anyone try to pvp when there's a reliable source of tel var with no risks ? The only reson tel var or daily pvp rewards are valuable is because you have to fight for it. This is the only pvp content we've had in a decade, please don't ruin it ;D

The dishonorable in PvP have ruined it already.

My Harbinger damage is 2200. PvP 1100. It doesn't deal more than 365 to anyone unless they are below level 45. Everyone is still slapping me with 12k uppercuts and critical charges even though I have 27k resistance (full heavy) and Major Protection.
Now, when I block it they only deal about 300, but still...

Also, I try one light attack, I get hit by 5 abilities. I cannot attack, I have to block. It's the only thing I can do successfully in PvP.

All I'm trying to do is my dailies. I don't care about the flags. Sometimes I wish there was a private server or non PvP instance of Imperial City.
When I can get in a questing group of all alliances, then it is fun.
When the dishonorable get in my way, it's a waste of time, and ends up wasting good time on the XP scrolls I tend to run in there.
If I could wear something to disable the PvP, I would.
