I rarely do dungeons for good reason. You need to queue for an hr to get into one, when you get into one you're running with 3 anti socials who do not communicate, they speed run on their speedy G builds.
Last night I decided to do a dung I never done, Scrivener's Hall with these 3 super speedy, anti-social jerks. I got turned around, and my group was sooo far ahead I couldn't catch up, as I was nearing the group I got kicked. REALLY?? They couldn't just help a player out? There are players with conditions that make dungeons more challenging. Even the easy ones.
Was I discriminated against cause I'm not fast enough, or cool enough or enough damage??

MMO traffic abysmal, I wonder why?

I vote to remove "vote to kick" option

Let's protect all players from discrimination.

So...ZOS build "grouping tools", right? :*

You shouldn't play the contents with daily random team if
you try to do deep exploring (or training?). :/ Use grouping tools.
Just write there your dungeon run purpose, and playing style.

And, you can join decent "guild" which has specific purpose you want.
Just do business with your decent guild member until you have enough
    experience.

"I vote to remove "vote to kick" option"....

But, if you meet too much bad tank and healer or bad DD who are doing
fake role cheater intentionally, then do you still want to play contents with
    them?

Most of people will say, "good-bye cheater, and I'll call my real tank friend instead of you"
    My playing time Mon-Friday UTC13:00-16:00 [PC-NA] CP over2000 now.
    I have [1Tough tank] [1StamSorc-DD] [1Necro-DD] [1Real Healer]
    with [1Stam Blade].
But, I'm Tank main player. Recently I'm doing Healer.

you first suggest a mechanism to replace this game mechanics, and then vote

Sorry to hear that happened to you. I only use "Vote to Kick" for speed runners and people that go AFK and stay that way.

Sorry that happened to OP, but... - I'd suggest trying other features in the game, such as the group finder and guilds, to set up the kind of dungeon run you want with like-minded people, which makes for much smoother dungeon runs.

I personally don't do random dungeon PuG's anymore and in approximately four years and thousands of dungeons, I have literally never once had any of this drama that we hear about on the forums so often.

Relying on the game to randomly match you with other players is always going to produce random results. In fact, it may even be skewed toward producing a negative result, because... at least in my experience... many skilled, friendly, helpful, experienced players kind of "move on" from the random queue at a certain point, using other tools to ensure a compatible group and a smooth run.

I doubt zos will remove the vote-kick system (at least unless a suitable replacement mechanic has been identified), as this would unfortunately allow trolls and toxic players essentially free-reign to disrupt the dungeon queue experience for others.

It's absolutely a bummer getting kicked when you didn't really do something wrong, or feel you didn't deserve to be kicked... or getting a bad group... encountering a toxic player... etc... but the root of the problem really isn't the vote kick mech - it's relying on random matching that potentially places incompatible players together.

In the end, one is not entitled to other players' time - players would still be free to leave the group if they are not happy with it, and start a new one even without the vote kick mech.

** EDIT to add one last thought - it's not clear what happened in this instance, but worth mentioning that it's always good to communicate at the start of the dungeon if one is new to it / doesn't know mechs / needs the quest / etc. This of course won't guarantee that speed runners will slow down or toxic players will become friendly; but many players *are* willing to slow down, be a little patient, and offer help *if* they know it's desired.

Vote kick a necessary option for randoms. You didn't mention that you communicated with them you were new or lost. Were you pulling your weight? That dungeon has mini key bosses they might have wanted or needed you for.

You will have a better experience if you join a guild to do them with. You could also try the group finder with a description of the kind of group run you desire.

I have trouble reading maps and often get lost. I usually just text I'm lost and will be with them when the joining encounter pulls me to the boss.

ANd vote to kick is essential. There are jerks who will run ahead to the point where they are at the final boss leaving the rest of the party high and dry. Players need the ability to get rid of the speed runners.
