8m free range with battlespirit. Gap closer, 0m free range.

The passive Reach gives 5m range while near keep or outpost to any ability 28m or greater. This is justified for the fights because of keep height.

Battlespirit has 28m range buff also that gives additional 8m. For free, with no drawback.

Seems a bit unbalanced heals, shields and ranged damage get extra 8m to, what I assume is, to combat lag/desync.

But as melee I flail around in half animation from melee gap closers.

Why not specifically give all gap melee gap closers the same buff?

They should of made 4v4v4v4 instead of 8v8.

    So they don't scale keep walls like they used to
    Add a Scribing skill that works like Arcanist beam.

    Veteran players have been alienated and disengaged from Overland since One Tamriel, due to the lack of difficulty, and pushed into dungeons and trials; the minority of content in the Elder Scrolls Online. We can't take the repetition anymore, fix Overland engagement for Vet players. I don't even care if it's not combat related anymore, just make Overland engaging again.

    Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 10 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. Make a self debuff mythic. Literally anything at this point.

    Because they used to have that range and it used to be possible to use gap closers to get inside closed/unflagged keeps by targeting a player sitting on the wall (the most infamous one for this being DK leap).

    It was completely game breaking because it makes it impossible to defend a keep since a single troll or unaware (see new/casual) player would allow for entire groups that would exploit this to just gap close inside a closed keep and easily take it from the inside without having to open any walls/doors (at most they had to siege the inner door down to 50% to have the keep flag which allowed the flags to be flipped) which made it impossible to defend against since keeps would flip within literal seconds of being flagged.

    They removed all the objects that allowed the same level transition into keeps around the same time.

    Now it would only be moves that would do it vertically, which don't work. As you just start the animation and it fails.

    Not all of them (the postern doors at the side/back of keeps still have their little raised stair walls and lowered partial top walls).

    The other thing to consider as well is future design of abilities/sets. If ZOS allows gap closers to gain the bonus range again, they won't be able to design new mobility skills.

    Vault is a perfect (and very recent) example of this, the ability got heavily adjusted including it's leap height and other things that cause it to now be awkward to use, even in good situations, because its original design could leap onto walls of closed keeps and that was with the current, non-extended range.

    They ruined gap closers for ages after this original fix. You couldn't even use them up a slight incline in the hills with los. So when I saw vault I knew they wouldn't let the original skill last very long.

    Nothing stopping them putting angled roof structures in locations to stop people.

    Battlespirit clearly says abilities which rules out procs. Since there is no actual ability required for procs.
