Anchorite's Cruelty worth to scribe?

Hello,

it consume a soul gem, which mean you have to have plenty of them if you are going to spam this
1.5% Oblivion damage of enemies max health - so 30K average, that means, 450 per second, against their healing rate and other healing. Is that good?
Under 50% 900 definitely seems more appealing, but compared to other damage/s, is this a decent use to scribe.

Anyone have interesting cases for using it?

Tankz,

Z

Has performed better than it looks so far, 500+ dps for a secondary effect dot in PvP is decent, enables various on-damage triggers. The incoming nerf to Druid's Resurgence makes other Signatures like this one more appealing.

Well consider this: single layer of HoT like Vigor & Radiant Regen is like 1k/s, so halved for PvP.
450/s is gonna be about 80% of a single layer HoT.

It's good. I'm using it with stun focus & major defile.

    What's the nerf exactly?

From patch notes, they're reducing the Druid's resource return from 1000 each to 600 each. Still a good sig.

Yeah it just makes it balanced. Because it was 2k resources on 2k-ish cost spammable.
And 1k resources/gcd is a lot stronger setup for permablock, 600 might not cut it.

It better not cut it. Permablock is already spreading through smallscale like a disease.

Well it's lot worse in CP I guess. It's fairly in check in BGs. I mean I've seen some permablocking dudes that were able to hold 2v1 but they are rare and 3v1 would break them.

Red block cp are strong. My friend runs a troll tank Plar with 30k hp full block mitigation, tanks a dozen pugs. At least they're bringing BGs rules to Ravenwatch, that'll give us a nice break if we want.

Wait really? When? That's great news.
That might make cyro more tolerable for those weird occasions I would chose to enter it.
Is that IC too? Because no-CP IC was great.

Check out the 10.1 patch notes in the PTS forum, yes it's both Ravenwatch and IC.

yes, they are getting rid of the "no proc" rule next udpate, for both ravenwatch and no-cp IC

Sorry so can someone confirm it is still 1.5% per second? or has that increased due to the scaling now?

as far as im aware the single target one was 1.5% per 1 sec for the single target scribed soul magic skill (wield soul) and 2.8% per 2 sec for the aoe soul magic skill (soul burst)

i dont think the scaling on these were changed

both of those oblivion dots also have execute scaling as well, so they do deal more dmg to targets under 50% hp

Yup - I was wondering if that got scaled similar to the other elemental/magic damage effects. Perhaps to 1.75% or whatever… no big deal, just curious and thank you

It can potentially set up max range combos, but most are gonna use Streak combos due to bar space.

Anchorite's Cruelty is very strong when your target is < 50% health. A 40k health player takes 1200 dps and a 50k health Necro or Warden will take the full 1500 dps. This is actually busted if you compare it to other DoTs in the game because you don't need to build deep into wd/sd to yield the full damage. You can build tanky, or max magicka, or bash damage and still get the full 1200-1500 dps. It also ticks through shields.

    Yes, it's worth using.

I fiddled with it using snake in stars, anchorites, and random other sets including sloads and an oblivion enchant to complete the them. It can really shine on a high health ball group player covered with layered hots and spammed shields.

It eats soul gems in big fights.
