Returning to game - Imperial class

Returning to the game and want to find a class (or two) for an Imperial, possibly one male and one female. I have four classes in mind but I am torn. I will mainly be doing PvE (solo play, veteran dungeons, infinite archive/arenas, etc.) and these characters will tend toward stamina or hybrid setups. Looking for something that will be fun/do well at PvE but also fits with a good class vibe for the race. I will likely try my hand at tanking but will usually stick to random dungeons or the occasional vet dungeon/normal trial with a guild, but nothing sweaty, so while a "meta" setup is nice I can also be equally happy with an off-meta tank or DPS setup. Often overwhelmed by the sheer choice in ESO so welcome your thoughts!

- Dragonknight - Makes a lot of sense for Imperial given the Akaviri influence.
- Templar - Love the "Paladin" aesthetic for an Imperial.
- Sorcerer - Imperial battlemages have always been epic.
- Arcanist - Basically a battlemage but with Mora's influence.

Sorcerer and Arcanist are probably best for doing PvE (solo play, veteran dungeons, infinite archive/arenas, etc.)

Sorcerer's pets and Arcanist's Fatecarver ability are helpful for solo play especially.
some Arcanist abilities' cost depends on your max resource (Fatecarver is 1 of them) so it would be stamina if you use a stamina focused build.
Plus the Cephaliarch's Flail skill always costs stamina and heals you when used.

both classes are also commonly used with the Oakensoul mythic, a lightning staff, and a set that benefits heavy attacks like Sergeant's Mail.
Deadly Strike too as it increases damage over time and channeled attacks (like Fatecarver and Lightning heavy attacks).

the new crafted Tharriker's Strike set has a fun bonus too: Dealing damage with a fully-charged Heavy Attack grants you Major Berserk for 4 seconds, increasing your damage done by 10%. This effect can occur once every 1 second.


i think any class works for any race though.
my main imperial character is a Necromancer and she's good for PvE too.
All 3 of these classes are fun to tank with as well to me. Arcanist even has its own taunt called Runic Jolt which is the first skill you unlock from the Soldier of Apocrypha skill line.
