High DPI scaling override no longer works

Since the recent launcher update the high DPI override (under compatibility in exe properties) no longer have any effect. On a 4K display with 2 x scaling the windows is back to being too small and the text isn't even readable under magnifier.
Trying different DPI override settings and a launcher re-install have no effect
It's one of the few applications that does still need the DPI override but it has worked for years - I've no idea how it could stop working as I've never known override settings not work for an app before - but it's strange there's been no other mentions of this issue if a it's common issue.
