Patcher / Launcher disrespects Windows DPI settings

The Patcher / Launcher is now tiny and unreadable on a 4K screen. It also always pops up in the top left corner, rather than the middle.

OS: Windows 10. Compatibility setting used: High DPI scaling override / Override high DPI scaling behavior / Scaling performed by: System. This setting worked with the old launcher to make it display at a readable size, essentially full screen. It no longer works, nor does the application behave properly without this setting, nor with other combinations of settings Windows offers and that I have, thus far, tried.

Summary: Almost unusable with my eyesight. This is not a trivial issue for those of us playing on a 4K TV.

The patcher has never failed in the past and was working perfectly. Why on earth mess with a good thing?

    strange. immediately after updating the launcher a few days ago, I chose something like Use system scaling in its settings. My launcher has become huge, the perfect size on my 4k monitor. But now I don't see this setting.

    but you can add it manually by editing the config

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\Launcher\launcher.settings
    add "appScalingLogic":"WINDOWS"

    my config:
    {"appScale2160":1,"language":"en-us","lastLog":1,"removeDirect3LauncherFiles":false,"downloadDirect6Metafiles":false,"renameOldGameDirectories":false,"detectDirect3GameInstallDIrectories":false,"cleanupObsoleteFiles":false,"enableTTS":false,"ttsLanguageFilterEnabled":true,"fontSize":0,"postUpgradePatches":{"Live_Prod":"2898329"},"zosLastError_Live_Prod":"","zosLastError_PTS_Prod":"","lastSelectedGame":"The Elder Scrolls Online","ttsVoice":"Microsoft David - English (United States)","appScalingLogic":"WINDOWS","ttsVolume":1,"ttsRate":1,"ttsPitch":1}
