Hello everyone, we have an update regarding the new patcher rollout. Over the last few months, we have been rolling out the
beta version of the new patcher for PC players to try and provide feedback. With that process complete, we are moving forward with updating everyone to the new patcher. This auto-update will occur on Wednesday, June 26 for all PC players. We encourage all PC players to update to the new patcher now to avoid the day-of rush.
With this update, no downtime is expected, but there will be a required update. If you are on the current patcher, you will be prompted to update to the new patcher on June 26. If you upgraded to the new patcher prior to the official patch day, then there will be a minor update on June 26. Post update, if you run into any issues, please
submit a Support Ticket so we may assist you. Thanks everyone.
Below is a list of the new patcher features and improvements:
- The Beta flag will be removed
- PTS will no longer be forced to show if the player does not have it installed
- The red version string will be removed
- The version will still be available to view under Settings
- News sliders will automatically be refreshed if new ones are published while the Patcher is open
- Improved logging for patching and application queue handling to help debug user issues
- Improved automatic update handling
- Text-to-speech has been added to Accessibility options
