I'm disappointed that there were no changes introduced regarding the crafting limits introduced last year. At the very least, I feel it would be beneficial to award players who have multiple crafters to allow them to gain multiple parcel boxes when completing both regular and master crafting writs, instead of it being limited to once per account. This event was introduced as a crafter event and it has since changed to be a guild group event. As a solo player, I feel the push towards group content is becoming the norm rather than allowing players to play the way they want. Could we see any changes towards this given the significant amount of feedback from the limitations being introduced last year?

Yeah, I'm not making multiple accounts when the original event allowed unlimited crafting parcels to be gained. While I understand ZOS wanting to have players playing more content as well as limiting how easy it is to gain parcels during this event, having crafting writs, both regular and master, be once per character (7 regular and 7 master writs) seems to still limit how easy it is to gain those parcels while rewarding those who make multiple crafters. Right now, there is no incentive to have multiple "grand master crafters" on your account and I feel this change would incentivize players to make their characters crafters to gain the most from this event, while still limiting how easy it is to gain parcels through crafting. The event is no longer a crafting one and instead a guild one, which is great if you are into that content, but removes the crafting element of this event.

I really love the crafting limitations so that we don't miss out by not hoarding master writs all year. Like last year, it's a buff to inventory and bank space. Especially since people knew this is how the event was last year and presumably going forward.

As it is, I'm regretting selling a lot of my alchemy/enchanting/provisioning writs, because I didn't realize/forgot you get a daily parcel for each crafting category of sealed writ. IMO, it's not fun to miss out for not having a chance to prepare by hoarding stuff.

I think if it had always been limited to your first sealed writ per profession per day like this, people wouldn't be requesting it reward you for every sealed writ quite as much.

i have 11 accounts and i'm working on my 7th account crafter. i have 3 on my first and 3 on my 2nd and i'm putting 1 on each of the rest for a total of 15. That means i'm working on my 11th crafter. i could do that and clean up as i have some 700+ writs across two guild banks. I just wont do this event at all. No celebrations to false gods. no thank you. my choice.

How is a Master Writ Discipline defined? Is it Durable/Consumable like we often see in the Endeavors? Or is it Wood/Blacksmith/Jewelry/Enchant/etc... ?

I will say this is well timed. You saved upo a bucnh of maps? then free eso+ gives you a motivation to do all thos maps. i finished my 530th one last night at 2am ish.

When eso+ end you now have mats for all those writs you been hording and here comes a writ event when eso+ ends. i have one complete guild bank full plus a few hundred in another.

I will do all those writs but i will start them before the event starts and i wont do the quest for the event. Hopefully i finish them b4 the event begins.

I wont be doing the gold ones though because i'm selling all my gold mats as i need gold for twpo more accounts that need summerset dlc.

I think if it had always been limited to your first sealed writ per profession per day like this, people wouldn't be requesting it reward you for every sealed writ quite as much.

I'm not suggesting going back to the hoarding days of the original event as I agree with you that created a need to hoard all these master writs; however, I am suggesting allowing parcels to be gained through multiple crafters. A player should be rewarded if they have taken the time to have multiple characters become master crafters, learning multiple motifs, all of the traits that take months to research, etc. Each character should be limited to gaining 14 parcels from crafting - 7 from regular and 7 from master. That means if a player has three master crafters capable of their master writs, they should be able to gain 42 parcels from them alone (21 regular and 21 master). This gives solo players a way to still farm for parcels in the event without having to group up, along with incentivizing players to make multiple crafters capable of completing master writs, rather than just gaining master writs.

As a crafting fanatic, what once was my favorite event is now an event I give no time to as I'm not interested in grouping up with a guild member. I want to craft, I want to make more characters into crafters; however, there is no reason to make more than one grand master crafter after achievements became account wide (other than if you don't want to log out and log back in multiple times). You can gain more master writs, sure, but you are likely to still complete it on your one master crafter.

Can't this be pushed up at least a week so that those on console playing the new chapter aren't distracted trying to gather tickets and rewards while trying to explore the new stuff? You guys have such poor planning.

No unfortunately. At this point, timing is pretty much set in stone. The work to move timing would be... a lot. We planned to have this after console launch to make sure everyone is able to play in a post Gold Road Launch. In order to keep other event timing from moving, this timing worked out. The intention is not to cause a distraction.

This is the best time to buy those pricey homes that can be purchased with gold, so players who have had their eyes on one or more houses should start earning and saving up their gold in preparation.

Also, most of the pricey houses require that specific achievements be earned before they become available for gold, so get busy earning any prerequisite achievements for whichever houses you have your eyes on.

And finally, remember that gear and other items which are purchaseable with Tel Var, Alliance Points, etc., should also be available at a 10% discount, so this event is also a great time to spend your TV, AP, etc. Get out there now and start earning those in-game currencies so you can take advantage of those discounts during the event!

    @ZOS_Kevin,

As always, thank you for the early announcement! (And even more so for the extra-early announcement of dates before!) A few things I noticed about the announcement:

One of the options for "Honest Toil" is to spend a certain amount at guild traders. I didn't see that listed. (It was 5k previously; I believe it's 10k now.)

Philius is selling fragments for all of the 2021 collectibles except Doomchar Plateau, which is the hardest to get because it requires 5 fragments. When it first came out, it wasn't as much of a problem since one of the events was New Life, but the re-release has been quite challenging for people who didn't have it the first time, especially if they're trying to collect the current collectibles as well. Is this an oversight in the announcement? If not, could it please be added?

The only other improvement I noticed that could've been added to the announcement was a link to this forum thread. It's nice to have that. :)

Edit: Oh, and the question about Archival Fortunes: Will items from the Filers be discounted also, now that we have a new in-game currency that didn't exist last time Zeal of Zenithar ran? Thanks!

Again a crafters event NOT for crafters, I am not in a guild. This sucks!

It takes work and dedication to hoard/store master writs to use them in events like this. It takes dedication to make all your characters crafters, and benefit from this event. But crafting does not seem to be rewarded. Haven't learned anything from last year apparently.

PS: ZOS, you could choose to disable crafting add-ons during this event. So players really have to put the work in to benefit.

    Why?

Skip them if they are too much work. That is one of the reasons I do very few WW, BS and CL master writs on the PS5. I have a very hard time figuring out if I can make the item ahead of time.

My addon on the PC allows me to know, so I do the ones I know there.

Why should it matter to you?

Can we please get some more options on things to buy with event tickets? Like maybe more unique furnishings we could purchase during each event? I like that there are spooky furnishings for sale during the Witch's Festival, and cakes during the Anniversaries. I want these kind of options during every event, not just occasionally.

I am someone who has done every event since they started doing the Indrik mounts. I have collected every version of every morph available since then. I have the Molag Bal illusion imp, plus all three fragments ready to make another as soon as I morph it. I have the first two Master of Schemes personality fragments. All my companions have all guild skills maxed, and I still have some extra commendations saved up for future companions, so I don't need those. I hardly ever do group events and never Veteran content, so the group repair kits are useless to me. I have 11 tickets saved up from the last event, and will only be able to carry over a maximum of 12 to the next event after this.

So that leaves me with 28 tickets with nothing to spend them on (assuming I participate in the event every day, which I plan to do). And because I always do the events, I almost always have a surplus of tickets. I could use them on the new style pages, sure, but depending on the drop rate of those I might not need to. Plus those I could buy with gold instead. So I guess I'll keep hoarding companion commendations for future companions that are yet to be released.

Also, why is it that only certain events have the "yesteryear" parcels? I'm still missing some Ashen Militia and Kwama Miner pieces, and would love if you'd provide those parcels for this event so I can easily get those.

The time on the PC did not overlap any event. The time on console overlaps the event, when the focus is on other things.

Yeah, still time and it is not horrid, but it is "less time" on console because the event will be going on during the same time. That is why it is relevant in this discussion.

I didn't miss it no. doing the Scribing questline doesn't take weeks, at most a few days.
there are 2 weeks after the event to get the mount if you are somehow unable to do anything besides event related stuff during the event.

i have done story quests during events so i don't get how the overlap is bad though.
And it does overlap on PC as well.
the multi rider mount is available on PC till July 1 and the event is till July 2.

    edited to add:
pc and console have the same amount of overlap with the event.
for the amount of time the mount is available,
for PC it is the last two weeks and for Consoles it's the first two weeks.
