Advice on affix scrolls for the sorc..

Which are the best buffs to pick up via the affix scrolls and the scribing, to supplement the sorcs lack in that area, and so maybe get off the oaken-crutch?

For pve.

I'm know there's the wisdom out there to save me time reading and figuring it all out....

Or are there not enough buffs in this new system yet....

In PvE scribing is kinda useless unless it's for tanking or IA. It's all utility and lacks the dmg numbers to be worth using in a majority of cases.

It will all depend on the build and content you want to play.

• Major Prophecy/Savagery is a good all purpose buff that sorc still lacks in its kit. Probably top priority unless you like running inner light or camo hunter.
• Major Vitality is another good buff that is also quite rare currently, but that would be more useful for solo content or when playing as a healer (or potentially a tank).
• Major breach is a good option if you are solo and not running ele sus from the destro skill line. This is probably low priority while ele sus is still so strong though.
• Major resolve is underrated imo, lightning form (boundless storm morph especially) is not in a good spot after the mechanic nerfs (tick rate/melee range) to it in the past 2 years, so finding a better way to fit major resolve via scribing is definitely something worth considering, but probably not the most urgent thing.
• endurance/intellect, while sorc technically has this on ward, that particular morph of ward is still kinda mediocre, so this is an option alongside vitality for group support.

It's always good to grab all of the options you can, but outside of those 5, most buff/debuff scripts will just be for niche uses/builds.

keep in mind if you want to use a heavy attack build without oakensoul, you will need to find another source of of empower, iirc scribing has that option as well so it could be something to look into as the duration on the mages guild passive for that buff is far too short to be useful for a heavy attack build.

I really like oaken to avoid worrying about all the buffs. Seems a stressful way to design a game, really..... Given all the npcs fall over in exactly the same way no matter what you hit them with.

Fire on weapons just to break it up a little.
