[Cyrodiil] Please allow for abandoning scroll quest to change the option available

Say DC is capturing Ghartok but you can only pick up Chim quest and nobody is sharing it, it's just going to discourage people from helping the scroll runner if they get absolutely nothing from it. There also needs to be a reward for being within a certain radius of the scroll being turned in or something. So so frustrating. Nothing I could do would get Dortene to give me anything other than Chim so I lost out on a scroll capture.

it does give you a new option when you abandon, though its not guaranteed to be different from your current quest

i usually find the scroll quest more trouble than its worth because even having the quest is a measly 2k AP, which you basically get from capping a resource anyway

10+ times in a row I would keep getting Chim. It definitely needs to be a different one each time, and cycle through your current options (there were minimum 4 scrolls we didn't have).

But yeah I was hoping for an extra bit of AP towards my tier and just ended up giving up on and going to fight at Nik instead bc as you mentioned it's measly. They could definitely do something to encourage more people to run scrolls with more AP.

i think the biggest things which encourage stealing scrolls arent the quests but:

• the passive buffs
• the points (for those who care about "winning" the campaign)
• "power play" of a mobile map objective ("flexing")

Join a group. Then have one group member try to get the quest while the rest of your group is being useful to the team you chose to play on.

Khajiit does not need to be thanked for solving your problem. But they will humbly accept praise anyways.

Oh, and remember folks. You're not 'solo' if there are other players from your team around.

Yes obviously but I have no desire to join groups most of the time. It causes a ton of anxiety, and I would rather go to the keeps and resources that I want to than follow a crown. Sometimes I group up but mostly I just wish to do PvP at my own direction and pace. (And I am saying this as someone who does PvP quite a bit with multiple classes of builds and roles, not a casual PvEr). I politely asked in ZC for someone to share the quest but nobody would.

Sure, these are definitely motivations, but people love having quests to turn in, and even a few thousand AP can be the difference to get to tier 1 ranking. There is nothing lost or any negative influence to be able to effectively chose your scroll quest. You can't just simply go capture and run a scroll all by yourself in Gray Host

The scroll quest will cycle but only if a second person is also picking up the quest. If one person picks up and drops it alone it will never change (unless someone else accepted it right before you got there), it has to be two distinct characters.
