Interacting with Outlaw Refuge Door puts me on Character Selection

I tried to get out of the Bangkorai Outlaw Refuge twice only to be greeted by the character selection screen. It was the western side door, the one below the skyshard as you got out.
Well, it's not annoying or a hindrance since the process of relogging only took me less than 10secs, but it is awkwardly surprising.

I did manage to get out the second time by using the northern door that leads to the graveyard. It's my first time experiencing that though for the past 10 years.

This is a porting issue that has existed for a long time. Normally happens when the zone you're trying to travel to is particularly busy. I get it with Rawl'kha once or twice a week, either when exiting the outlaw's refuge or when attempting to travel directly via wayshrine.

The usual error when it kicks back to the login screen is that the server is unavailable, and we should check our connection. This should probably be changed to a more accurate message such as "Server failed to respond in time, please reconnect." Logging back in takes us to where we were before attempting to travel.

Usually waiting a few minutes before attempting to travel to the intended location is the solution. Once a few players have left the target zone, porting to there is no problem.

In my case I did not receive any error, as in it's just the Bangkorai loading screen for like five seconds or so then straight to character selection, acting like I pressed Log Out to select a different character whenever I interact with the door. Also, there was hardly anyone in Evermore at that time, it's a dead hour for the game I usually play around in the afternoon to evening UTC+8, 12hrs advance of Eastern. So, I reckon it's just a random isolated case that the game client was trying to play tricks on me.
