I have been trying to download the game/patch and I keep getting this error, which stops the patch. Says I need to repair, but there isn't a repair button. There are others with this problem, but I haven't seen a solution. Would appreciate any help.
I ended up sending an email to tech support, and I received an answer that helped! Now... I missed early access.. oh well lol Here is the solution they gave me and one of those worked.. not sure which one. Good luck!
Greetings!
Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.
**The ideal solution, is to make sure the game is installed while the user is logged into an administrator account.**
Otherwise, this error can be caused by an Antivirus Program imposing restrictions on the Game Launcher. This problem manifests towards the end of downloading or patching the game.
Make an exception in the Antivirus Program to allow full access to the Game Launcher. Most Antivirus Programs require a specific location, as well as the specific name of the program. Depending on the software, it may need to be entered manually. Here's what to add to exclusions:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\Launcher\Bethesda.net_Launcher.exe
After this is done, reboot and try to run the launcher again. Also, try to Run it as "Administrator". This can be done with a "Right-Click" on the Shortcut, and then choosing "Run as Administrator"
If issue persists, you will need to click "Repair" to fix the Game Launcher. If the "Repair" option is hidden, Clicking "Cancel" should reveal it again.
The download should resume normally after the repair process is finished.
