Strange: Shield appears at crafting station, but no in my inventory?!

Hello All
I have a strange case right now, I hope you can help me.
I'm at a woodworking table, using menu to deconstruct. One shield appears in the list: Sithis' Shield (still in status "Bind on Equip").
BUT... When I quit the crafting station to open my inventory and check on the shield, it's nowhere to be found (no matter what section, even junk and there is no entry in the search field, so I see my full inventory without filter). And then, if I return to crafting station, it's back in my list of items...
Any idea what is happening? Do I really have that item or not? I'm lost...
