Bring back the old D wings

Possibly very few players are left who recall the joy of the old DK wings.
Ranged play has gotten super strong both for Sorcs and NB.
We have packs of NBs , all in Tarnished Nightmare+ winterborn, teaming up to gank people from stealth with 2 button pushes.
There is minimal risk to current ranged play.
I freely admit, since the last patch, I have only played my magsorc, it is way too strong now.

Wouldn't it be great to have the old wings back so those poor, slow melees can shock a few careless ranged players

It's relative, melee stamsorc for instance is a beast.

You mean a good player is a beast, at equal skill the ranged Sorc has a huge advantage over the melee Sorc.

Also, melee stam sorc still has hurricane and streak, so lots of mobility compared, eg to DK or Warden

Nah pure melee stamsorc gets destroyed by a pure magsorc now. Even hybrid melee stamsorc struggles vs magsorc too but they survive a bit longer compared to pure stamsorc.

Magsorc just has everything now. This patch they’re getting an extra 18% max mag from Expert Summoner passive and slotting Bound Aegis. That 18% max mag on a 40k mag build equates to almost 8k extra magicka, which is equivalent to nearly 780 spell damage if we account for the tooltip scaling difference between spell dmg and max mag. That 8k max mag is also buffing their Ward to a high value as well. You have Sorcs running around in Crafty/Wretched with 2k regen of each and 55-56k max mag and 26-27k stam. Literally nigh unkillable with how big their shield is and how much sustain they have.
