So, after seeing the same concern about furnishing limitations echoed multiple times on the forums, You tube videos, and in discord discussion, I think I have an idea that could potentially help with that. It's not 100% obviously just because the build variations and needs are immense (super creative community), but it could be a start.
The in-game houses are incredible, and they offer massive and beautifully designed stretches of space that offer tons of opportunities to let our creativity run wild. That being said, there is a rather limiting number of furnishings allowed for these spaces, which I think even the biggest housing fan understands is needed to keep from overloading whatever it is that houses those huge files. With that in mind, what if the designers started offering larger decorating pieces that sort of meshed a lot of those pieces together, thus alleviating the need to use up several slots for that one item? For example: instead of placing a table, chairs, plates, silverware, glasses, candles, flowers, etc., we simply placed one item with all of those things already included? The furnishing would be visually and spatially larger and take up the extra space, while also reducing the number of individual items placed. There could also be walls with paintings and sconces and fireplaces already in place, or kitchen counters with a sink and dishes/food/lights already embedded, floors with large area rugs/pillows/pillars/other details. Maybe even more detailed gardening items with flowers, rocks, lights, and larger flora.
I know this would take away from some of the detailed creativity of some of our players, so it's not a perfect solution, but it could free up slots for even more creativity for them to some degree.
