Rajhin makes me want to concede immediately

Depperoniak
Not because Rajhin is OP, because he's not. Both players get access to the same cards anyway.
It's just, Rajhin turns any game into an endless slogfest. Tribute is supposed to be a mini-game, not filling the entire slot of free time I'm allotted each day.
Does anyone have a strategy to make quick work of a Rajhin game besides conceding?

Mora. While I hate the deck, its the only one I have found that can overwhelm Rajhin. Now, you could end up hastening your own loss with RNG, but at least its not a slogfest. There is also Celarus because you have a backup to wipe agents

I don't have a problem with Rajhin, as long as its not a spammer.

As soon as someone takes Rahjin just counter it with taking Power decks and / or Psijik. It works.

I don't own that deck, but I love when someone brings it to the table. Rajhin is a good defensive deck for many circumstances and when well used it always makes the matches more competitive and entertaining. Maybe you aren't using it well in your favor, but if you do, you'll find out that it's quite fun. Just remember that it is mostly a defensive deck and not so good as an offensive one.

By the way... I think there's nothing wrong in concede when you're sure that you can't beat the opponent.

@NeoniKa it is primarily a defensive deck, but the amount of coin you can get early with Grand Larceny provides a solid offense in terms of buying power. Its also a very effective stopper if you encounter someone who goes agent-heavy.

With the ability of TOT to completely economically favor one player on the first or second turn, especially with cards like Pounce, there become some games where there is little to no reason not to just spam the Patron button.

I've found it to be the most effective. Mora isn't agent-reliant like Druid for power, or crippling your game like Rajhin or Almalexia, or blocking scoring like Pelin, so the agent-destroying value of Rajhin is minimalized. Its very much feast or famine, but when the power combos kick in it crushes the Rajhin prestige attacks. But since its heavily RNG based, your Rajhin-using opponent can double down on you.

I enjoy it, as long as it's not someone who does literally nothing but spam the Patron. If I see that someone has picked Rahjin and they also have a *** username, I just bounce, because I know what to expect.

I feel this way about Orgnum for the same reasons...I hate spam! :D

Both have poorly designed aspects for different reasons. Sorcer-King oppressive for it's cheaper power/prestige generators that allow the game to become one-dimensional. Rajhiin for it's 4-cost agent and 4 gold generator which too makes the game one-dimensional. Both strategies rely on their patron for the one-dimensionalness.

Red Eagle and Sorcerer-King Orgnum or Mora. Rajin spammers hate deck management. Red eagle for deck manage and a little tavern management. Orgnum is good to use to stack power, the more gold they waste adding cards to your deck the better. Because the Orgnum gives you power based on the amount of cards in your deck. Gain 1 Power for every 2,4,6 cards in your deck depending on whether its neutral, favored or not. Allows you to generate a lot of power but you have to be careful using it, And then there is the rng aspect where you have to hope to get good cards. Psijic and orgnum or Saint Pelin.

I get it some days I don't want to do long drawn out games and the back and forth spamming.

I hate Rajhin more than any other deck simply for how much slower games seem to be. To counter this I've started selectingt Mora and Red Eagle if Rajihin is played first, Mora if second (because neither Mora or Red Eagle are patrons I would start with), this just leaves me screwed if Raj is played last.

If you find Rajhin slow (which it isn't) wait until you get matched with an opponent bringing the Almalexia deck to the table.

Yeah. People who choose Almalexia are basically just playing with their balls in front of an unwilling stranger. It is the most onanistic deck of them all. If you pick Almalexia for a game with me, you're getting a permablock.

I love beating Rajhin players in under 12-15 minutes! I've never played enough to be a leaderboard top player, but here's my strategy to reduce the length of Rajhin games (whether you win or lose):
    Original Comment
Hi! I devote my entire ToT strategy to preventing drawn-out Rajhin games.

I get that it's fun for people, but I have a life to live and don't want to spend more than 12-15 minutes on a single game. I've even gotten messages from some Rajhin players kindly complaining that the game was too quick lol. Thank you, enjoy your defeat coffer.

So how do you beat Rajhin? How do you reduce the feline felons to feeling fallen? Patron selection and preventative power cards.

    Pick Punchy Patrons

You want patrons that generate fast win conditions and power—for both players. Pick Crow, Hunding, Pelin, Red Eagle, Mora (just make sure there are at least 2 of these 5, and 3 patrons that have a 1 gold starting card—not 1 power— so that the early economy doesn't get stuck.). Whatever works for you—I consider Hlaalu and Druid King as "flex" picks here as long as there are other win conditions. Careful picking Psijic or Almalexia, as they can help you avoid Rajhin cards, but you still need power and combo cards in the tavern.

Why? Because Rajhin takes a while to get prestige-lowering combos going, and benefits from its agents staying alive. By picking these patrons that have power cards and midgame combos, both players get power faster and agents die faster.

You also give your opponent BETTER options than Rajhin. Faced with a Rajhin card and a card like Rally or Plunder, I bet they're gonna take Rally or Plunder. And if they don't, you get it, so it disadvantages Rajhin playstyles either way. You can even use Mora to put non-Rajhin cards in their deck. Set yourself up to play a crazy corvid crowdown or a frantic Frandar frenzy, not a miserable meowing mudwrestle.

The goal of picking these patrons isn't to BEAT the other player, but to make the game quicker, whoever wins, and to avoid a Rajhin stall. In my experience, the typical Rajhin picker hopes to actually pick Rajhin cards, instead of adapting to a faster-paced tavern.

    Preventative Power Purchases

Lastly, if you see the opponent pick up a Rajhin agent, pick 1-2 good power cards ASAP, if not ahead of time. That agent will probably be on the board in 1-5 turns, and you don't want it to set up prestige combos. Before that, you don't need to sacrifice too much economy for power.

It's not about winning with RNG, just about making sure the game has elements that prevent a dragged-out stalemate. That said, it does mess up some Rajhin players who start slower and don't pivot in time. Curious to hear potential improvements to it!

(Personally, I wouldn't mind Rajhin nearly as much if it didn't drag out game length. People either love or hate control strats, especially when they get rolling.)

Just spent 30 wasted minutes of my life watching a player who picked Rajhiin and Almalexia just fondling their balls nonstop.

It’s not a pleasant gaming experience.

I don’t know how, but Mora and Celarus really work against Rajhin. I just had a game where Rajin had a huge advantage in economics, but he couldn’t resist me because I had a significant advantage in generating prestige, and Psijic helped me avoid the Bewilderment card.
