Ricochet Skull still bugged after 5 years

About 1 minute in, after the third kill, you’ll see Ricochet Skull stops gaining stacks and no longer gets its bonus 3rd cast damage or benefits from Gravelords Sacrifice. This happens VERY regularly in pvp combat and more rarely in pve.

I’ve reported this bug many times over the years, there’s post here about this bug from 5 years ago, I’ve made a forum post myself. I thought with the combat team recently saying that they wanted GLS to encourage the use of Skulls that it might have been fixed or be being looked at, but I’ve had zero acknowledgement from anyone at ZoS.

I urge any of you who have a necromancer, to try ricochet skulls, and if the bug occurs /bug ingame, and hopefully it’ll get some attention.

    Necro never going to get attention. Issues with skulls, graveyard and used to be with stalking blastbones - you know cause it was useless because it hardly ever chased. They fixed that though ! Made it useless in another way now.

    I’m not sure if I want devs to touch necro more knowing what might come about.
    Crown Crates are a trap. Don't fall for the gamble! Balance? What Balance? Balance, smellance.
    Necro for them RP feels.

    @alexj4596b14_ESO @Yamenstein surely, since they literally said “they want to encourage the use of skulls” as a spammable in the patch notes when they ruined stalking blastbones, there must be someone on the combat team who cares if the skill works or not?

    It appears that much of this class has been broken since launch. Right now half the class is basically useless. In pvp skull is useless, in pve its ok, but meh.

    I’ve got a magcro DoT/status pvp build with the third cast of skulls critting like a specbow every 3rd cast, my buffed tooltip on the third cast is like 16k, which is pretty good for a pvp build centered around DoTs using a flamestaff instead of a lightning staff.. with the third cast bugged out it’s just a mediocre DoT build.

    Yes, i play with a DOT build too. I like it, but it´s just garbage with the bug

    It's definitely not critting like a Spec Bow. Maybe close to a Frags proc, but Spec Bow has the highest damage coefficient in the game.

    The buffed cast of Skulls is 90% the value of blastbones. Spec Bow has a higher damage value than blastbones. Spec bow's base value is 4752, while the 50% boosted Skull's base value is only 3240. Spec Bow is 47% stronger than the BOOSTED Skull proc.

    It does hit hard for sure, but you aren't reaching the 20k crits you can get with Spec Bow. Highest skull crit I've seen yet was like 13k against a (likely naked) noob.

    “Like a specbow” was an exaggeration, yeah. Can’t say I’ve ever been, or want to be crit 20+k with a specbow.. and I hope I never do.

    What I should have said is “imagine a nightblades burst if specbow bugged out and wouldn’t stack every 1-2 minutes and you needed to die to get it working again, and that didn’t get fixed for 5 years”

    You’re right though, it’s not that comparable to specbow.
