Does DC feel less-popular?

I've watched a few streamers playing in ESO, and either they go Aldemri or Ebonheart.

Most of my friends did that aswell, but I went Daggerfall cause of the deserts, the Alkir desert is amazing!

But I feel like people don't find Daggerfall that interesting, that they got boring races and all that, what do you think about this, and why did you go Daggerfall?

We get to do a heist in the starter island.
Daggerfalls eleven, cant top that!

on a serious note: first city is the coolest of them all.
Amazing and engaging story and i like the less populated areas

Daggerfall is underpopulated.

Notice it a lot in Cyrodiil. First couple of days the Dominion on Auriels Bow were locked, Ebonheart were high pop and we were low ... we managed to bump up to medium yesterday and last night/today we filled up.

But Dominion and Ebonheart seem to be the more popular factions.

Sadly, I feel like Daggerfall needs more love. I did see however, when I checked Cyrodiil, I saw that Daggerfall was dominating the Dominion! Though that probably didn't last very long.

I hope Daggerfall gets more love later on.

Given the number of people hanging around Daggerfall, I'm rather pleased if it's one of the quieter places. :-)

Great topic of discussion - but I've been rather awestruck with it all so far.

On the contrary, considering we spend most of the time outnumbered we seem to be doing quite well.

6 people and 2 catapults held off an Ebonheart zerg last night at Chalman I think? (i'm sure one of the others that were there might correct me if I got the wrong place) all I remember is Loremaster was on one of the catapults.

Anywhooo we may be unloved and have a lower pop but we have some fantastic players from what i've seen.

I'm not going to question the sanity of any of our Daggerfall brethren but Zone chat can get a bit strange sometimes.

I made 4 characters just for Daggerfall(one for each class). Those 4 are my main characters

The leftover character slots are for Aldmeri and Ebonheart...

Based on this thread alone I wish I had started on my Daggerfall character, but I started on Ebonheart as I hadn't tried eith EP or DC during beta. I flipped a coin.

DC may pick up as others starts levelling up and the game launches for everyone.

DC is more than fine as is. Being the smaller faction has its merits and its draws. Roll on end game PvP

Well, I'm glad that there's people that actually like Daggerfall

It was kinda sad seeing the starting zone all empty though. I loved that zone so much, I kinda wished they made it bigger, I found it really interesting.

Underdogs. I too chose DC for the deserts, even though Glenumbra is a very lush forested area, unlike EP's shroom land. (AD has a nice forest too.) Besides, Breton heavy armor with it's silver plate with gold trim and black leather looks wicked rad on my Altmer!

Well, I rolled an dark elf( started out imperial but the need for duel wield bonus got to me) and used my "I'm a special snowflake" imperial sets to play DC, but I love oceans, pirates, and deserts. I'll probably play my nord in the right space though. It doe seem a little light, expect that to I change. It is damn quiet, but I don't listen to zone so there could be much noise around me.

I swapped from AD to DC few days before Launch. No regrets!

Mainly because I prefer not to be part of a steamroll but I guess that also varies per campaign. I thought Emeric was a bit of a warmonger but he seems like a nice bloke so far and I just love Bill Nighy's voice. I visit him regularly in Wayrest for a barrel of laughs.

I've been playing on AD but I made a DC character yesterday for a change of pace. The starting areas are beautiful, and I love the architecture and gloomy weather in the city we start off in (daggerfall?). I see enough people around so I didn't realize it's the least popular faction.

I chose Daggerfall because I wanted to revisit my favorite TES game, and I stuck with it because I like the landscapes and races.

When the game goes live the population imbalance will be worse, not better. Most players will go AD and EP because of Skyrim and Morrowind and elves. Most probably aren't even much aware of the old DOS Daggerfall.

Anyway with the way campaigns work the population imbalance won't be too big an issue. We just have to make sure to not spread ourselves too thin and choose the same few campaigns.

Well I am a relative noobie to ES setting, so I have no strong allegiance to any faction. But I chose Bretons cos they have the best racial bonuses for what I wanted to do with my build except the Dunmer. But I didn't want to look grey for my time in ESO.

Is it a question of population or a question of PvP players vs. PvE players?
I'm DC, but I've yet to even step into Cyrodiil (did plenty to whet my appetite in Beta). I'll PvP when I'm done with PvE.

Zone chat gets pretty wonky. I love/hate it.

It's definitely a question of population. AD and EP have the "fun" races and have games from the past 11 years not 19.

Daggerfall does scream quality over quantity.

Why they let me in i'll never know but everyone else is quality.

My main right now is a Redguard in Daggerfall , I love the desert and the middle eastern theme . I just don't like the starter city once you get out of cold harbor , compare that with AD starter cities and you'll see why they flock to the Dominion faction .

I'm so far just playing the one character, an Orc in DC and I'm loving it - haven't really strayed much outside Daggerfall and the surrounding area (and a bit of time on Stros M'kai) because I've just been pottering about, getting the hang of things and enjoying the atmosphere/scenery.

Enjoying my time so far in DC. I like the lower population and I dont pvp so being a 'underdog' is irrelevant to me.

Bizarre! I found Daggerfall the best starting zone story during beta, you start by joining pirates! What can be better than that!

I wouldn't worry too much about DCs pop. There are a lot of people. You should have seen Daggerfall City at 6am est on sunday... the streets were jam packed for a good 3-4 hours.

the daggerfall starter area is by far the most beautiful zone ive seen in a game, with all that wind blowing the sand and stuff.

DC is awesome however zone chat sucks and filled with trolls. when someone asks for help pple ignore you, then you have to type in CAPS Lock to get any attention. However after you do they *** bc your typing in all caps and call you a troll
