Ink Drops from enemies in the world at a low rate after you have completed the quest

From enemies, as in, every mob you can kill has an EQUAL percent chance to drop?

If this is the case, then high density xp areas would be the best place to farm Ink right? Because boss kills and other difficult stuff has the same % drop chance regardless, so you would just opt for the fastest/densest farm.

Will this work in Arenas? Could I go into nBRP and farm round 2 over and over? Could I go into Maelstrom Arena, Vateshran, Dragonstar?

It's probably the same drop rate as the anniversary event style pages everyone is yelling about.

Given that not all defeated enemies leave an instance of loot behind - some being atrocious in this regard - I'd think that harvesting nodes in a starter island would be a more efficient way to acquire ink.

Alternatively - in my experience - enemies flagged as 'dangerous foes' (Giants, Mammoths etc) are significantly more likely to leave an instance of loot behind so it might be more efficient to farm those?

Sounds pretty annoying having to go out of your way to farm mobs/resource nodes just to do scribing. Idk if these are the only ways to get the ink but hopefully you can get them from other ways or buy them with AP/Tel Var/Fortunes.

I think if they have a decent chance of dropping then it might be fine. But guess we will see. Get them another way? Probably crown store or crates.

In the video shown it was a currency displayed in the Scribing screen, so I guess it might be accountwide if Scribing itself is also.

That's what it sounds like, and it sounds a bit inconvenient.

It does sound like that, but earlier in the patch notes they remind that quest completions are now account wide. This suggests doing the quest once to farm on all chars.
But it would be nice if we could get a clarification.

Nonetheless, chance for drop from any kill sound like quite passive farm.

They were in the craft bag and I'm pretty sure they were not bound.

They are Mats in your Craft Bag under "Miscelaneous".
