Hey guys, I recently made a stamina arcanist. I think i'm now at a level where I can pilot the class decently (not at the same level as my previous main which was a brawly nightblade). So I'd like a good discussion on how you guys built and pilot your arcanist. I'll provide a brief story of how my character progressed and what his current state is now. Yes, this is going to be a procanist, if you're not a fan, feel free to flame my choice of build but i don't really care, I love procs haha.
He is a bosmer stam procanist that
initially ran balorgh + dragon's appetite + DDF + the arena weapons. - After learning the class (aka i got used to having a good dot uptime), dragon's appetite was the first to go. It was decent but felt like a training wheels set. I'm trying out Way of Fire or plagueslinger right now which are probably the more meta choices (more on draurkin below). I also want to try a sheer venom variant since flail is an execute. Another set I'm looking at is Ravager since maintaining it would be so easy with Cruxweaver's Armor. That's ~700 extra weapon damage with minimum effort. I need to see the uptimes though.
- After learning some more (aka I got better with mag sustain on my stam arcanist), I dropped DDF for Malacath, and replaced camo hunter with a magicka skill. I did this so I don't have to worry about major savagery and free up a slot (arcanist has a lot of nice magicka skills like Zenas' Empowering Disc and Runeguard of Freedom i wasnt running before). Another reason I'm running Malacath is because a lot of the people are using rallying cry, and I'm a fan of being able to ignore a large part of that set's power.
- For the monster sets, I change between balorgh and roksa, but now im contemplating just running baron + magma incarnate for the double stam and mag recoveries that's up all the time instead of roksa. I also wanna try Maarselok but I haven't farmed it yet.
- Draugrkin is also probably good (best for damage for sure) but i'd have to run 3 light pieces with it and I might also need another dot to really make it worth it (probably structured entropy over runeguard of freedom). I'm not a fan of the anti synergy with Prodigy (light armor passive which increases crit rate) + Malacath. Plus since im a bosmer, and have the penetration CP per status, I calcd and think the Concentration passive of light armor is overkill. I'll try this eventually but I still have to farm that dungeon.
I like running at least 4 pieces of heavy armor with all swift jewelry with this setup. Being a bosmer gives me extra movespeed without having to sprint and negates the heavy armor movespeed reduction. Having more medium armor could also be good and is something I want to explore more.
Right now my bars are like this:
I like having 3 soldiers of apocrypha skills on the front bar for the wellspring of the abyss passive which gives 129 recoveries for each soldier skill on the bar. Another option is to switch recuperative treatise to the front bar for 129 less recovery, but 990 more penetration. Putting impervious runeward in the backbar also synergizes well with intricate runeforms which increases the size of the shield and reduces the cost. In fact, yeah I will probably do that now. Your insight would be nice. I hope people share their thoughts here.
Also I am bored af in uni so I made this long post.
