Unable to log in on console since maintenance today

Anyone else just keep getting stuck at requesting character load screen? Been like it for hours. Despite several restarts:

Update, it is not a hardware issue, girlfriend can login fine in the same PS since the update no problem, Also, I can login to NA server, just not able to log in to PS EU

Yes, this is happening to 2 of my Alt accounts and started just today after the Maintenance update. When I click on any character on either of those 2 accounts to load into the game, the game freezes about 5 seconds later just before hitting the load screen to zone in. I've tried multiple characters on each of those accounts, located in different zones, and all of them on each of those 2 accounts freeze during loading.

I play on XBox NA. 7 out of my 9 accounts work just fine, but just on those 2 accounts I can't get past the character select screen. I've done all the console hard reset, multiple restart attempts, and had no luck with either account.

Seems like it is something on the server side with select accounts, because if it was anything on my end my other accounts would also be affected.

Same on PS5 NA. I have 5 accounts, all on the same PS5. Four load in fine. One freezes after selecting a character to load. It does this on every toon on that account. I have tried deleting saved game data, clearing cache, and rebuilding database to no avail. But since this is all the same hardware/machine/game copy and the others load in fine… that suggests something on ZOS’s end with some accounts?

In the middle of Jubilee, too, of course. This started after this morning’s patch/maintenance.

It gets weirder. For Science, I tried on my old PS4. The account freezing on character load in on PS5 actually CAN load in on PS4.

Yet, on PS5 my other four accounts are fine.

How on Earth does that even happen?

Same issue on Xbox NA infinite load screen after selecting a character screen seems to freeze all other games work fine and connection is not a problem

Popped you my info already, but also have at least 2 guildmates affected as well, one is an auctioneer for a trader guild I’m in so even more critical. I linked them this thread to add their details, but if they don’t have forum accounts, I’ll try to get their info to add here on their behalf.

Also, it has to be said but @BuffNukem I am dying laughing at your various Writ-named toons, those are gold!

Yeah, that account is one of my writ grinding accounts so the fact that it is currently locked out during the one event that doing writs matters most is a little concerning.

Those 7 toons are all getting very close to level 50 now, their only source of XP after level 6 and getting writ certification has been through crafting writs.

I managed to get into my forum account DragonRacer! I as Dragon has mentioned am the auctioneer for a trading guild that we are both in and my main account as been affected I have yet to try the two other alt accounts I have one being the actual auction account I use to run auctions for our guild.

Ok finally able to get in my main account. I deleted the cloud save file and deleted then re-downloaded the game app and it seems to have done the trick. So its an option for you to try to see if it rectifies things for you.

I’ve had two guildmates successfully fix this on PS5 by deleting cloud save data, deleting ESO, then redownloading ESO.

I haven’t tried that yet myself, but will try it tomorrow.

Each day that goes by means each account is losing out on 6 event tickets (3 from the cake & 3 from the value of the daily Jubilee Confetti Pack that I'll have to purchase to replace the one I would have gotten for free).

The sooner you can fix this the better, thanks!

Some guild mates on Xbox NA with the same issue. ALSO: guild history deposits/withdrawals not loading for officers who can log in, after latest <2gb update.

Hi all. We escalated this to the team when the thread was first reported. Investigations have started but will resume in the morning. Once we have a better idea of what is happening, we’ll update. Thanks to everyone who has provided information as well. That will help as we investigate and look at accounts.

Thanks for the update, I just got a standard reply to my support ticket I raised yesterday to say check ISP, check forums etc.
my partners account is Sarah_E46 she can log in and select characters on ps4 eu and ps4 NA but only NA on PS5, but her account is main EU PS5. Mine is the opposite, I can select characters on everything except PS4 EU

Update for all impacted by this, I just deleted eso from her PS5 and reinstalled it this morning and she can log in and select character. I will now do same on my PS4. Just deleting the save game data made no difference:

dyn0m1k3 on Xbox EU stuck on "Requesting Character load..." for all characters.
Its not even attempting to load, the music and all animation stops like the game is about to crash but then it just stays there indefinitely.
