BUG with Anniversary Jubilee Gift Boxes

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but if your first Daily Quest of the day is in Imperial City, you won't get a Gold Box. It shows as gold when you hand in your quest, but when you check your inventory it's actually purple.

This is on AD, PC-EU & PC-NA, Imperial City.

@ZOS_Kevin are you aware?

Obviously the boxes are still pretty cool, but if you're in a rush and you just want one box, seek it elsewhere....... ;)

We have gotten a low number of reports about this. Our team has done some investigating and has not seen anything out of the ordinary here.

If you could provide additional information, I can pass this along as we continue to keep an eye out on this.
    • Are you running any add-ons?
    • Did this happen to you on both PC-EU & PC-NA?
    • Was there anything else odd that you noted while working on the daily?

We're just trying to get an idea of if anything or an odd combinations of things is triggering an issue.

I had the same thing happening as the OP. Thought I'd kill two birds with one stone by doing the "Earn 150 Tel Var" daily endeavour and get the Glorious box at the same time. For a moment all seemed right when I turned in the quest. There was the usual reward and the Glorious box shown. However, when I checked my inventory the Glorious box had turned into one of the normal ones. Talk about a bad vibe Cinderella story!

I then did a daily in Vvardenfell and the Glorious box dropped as expected.

I play exclusively on PC-EU and yes, I am running add-ons. But none that I would suspect to interfere with this.

    Hey Kevin,

I have tried this on a few accounts on both NA and EU.

Essentially, if I complete any Imperial City daily quest (any of the 6 zone quests), they only drop a Purple box. On the little pop-up where you see your quest loot, it shows gold, but in inventory it's not.

I can't check right now, but I believe I had NOT eaten cake before doing those quests (although I did get a gold crate on an account before eating cake, from a crafting writ).

I am running addons - various.

    Age. :)

In the interests of science I just tried it on PC/EU with zero addons running.
    • Account: @EmissaryVII
    • PC/EU
    • Temple District daily quest
    • No addons

Result: at quest hand-in it looks like a golden box, but in inventory it's purple. I did eat cake before travelling to Imp City (mmmm delicious!)

Result seem pretty consistent to be honest.

    Greetings,

This thread has been moved to the PC Technical Support section, as it is better suited there.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Did IC dailies both yesterday and today and the issue remains. Looks like you're getting the golden Glorious box but are actually left with the purple normal one. I would've thought someone had looked into this by now.
