Anniversary gift Box won't open

I can't get the anniversary boxes to open. They just stay no matter how many times I click on them. It's pretty frustrating. It says there's crafting matts inside.

I just noticed another issue. I finished a quest and it showed the reward would be an anniversary box, but when i looked in my inventory, it didn't appear. I'm wondering what is going on here.

If you are using lazy writ crafter it will automatically open any boxes

Kartrag_inak I do have that app, but it doesn't help at all. I have Jubilee boxes, including the "Glorious" variety, that won't open on several characters.

Forgot to say, inventory bags are not full by any means.

You can set Lazy Writ Crafter to not automatically open event boxes.

SilverBride one character on day one could open the box, since then none of them have been able to open the boxes, it's not my add-on.

Try disabling your addons temporarily, see if its caused by any of them

Nothing happens. I click on it with the "E" use key, nothing happens at all.

Are your transmute crystals at cap? That will show on currency tab, not regular inventory. If so, you can either transmute/reconstruct something or I think there is an addon setting to bypass that.

Yes they are, but there's plenty of room in my bag for each character. Why would that effect gift rewards?

Transmutes don't go into our bags. They are tracked on the currency tab. If your transmutes are at max then any container that has transmutes may not open because there is no space for them.

Have you tried opening all the containers to see if some do open?

If you are at transmute cap and an anniversary box contains transmutes, the transmutes go poof and disappear forever. Some addons block you from opening boxes while at transmute cap to give you time to use some transmutes and thus prevent losing the transmute reward in box. Note that this should not have anything to do with if there are transmute crystals in box (the addon does not know yet). It is more that boxes that may contain transmute (like Anniversary boxes) are all blocked from opening. This has nothing to do with inventory space and is purely a courtesy to players who do not want to risk missing out on transmutes.

Either use some transmute crystals or hunt through addon settings to see if there is toggle to always allow opening boxes.

Dagoth_Rac, yes destroying my transmute crystals (by crafting something) did make it possible to open the box that didn't contain any, so it's totally a mystery to me why this worked. But, thank you.

thats not entirely true

tribute bags, and the event bags, etc that can contain transmutes do not prevent you from opening and looting the transmutes even if your at transmute cap, even if you looted everything but the transmutes

only the transmute geodes themselves will not allow you to open them if your at transmute cap, but will let you open them even if your at 999 transmutes and your opening a 10x transmute geode

all of the looted transmutes over the cap are just lost to the void
