High Isle storyline thoughts

In over 10 years playing the game (since January 2014 beta and since March 30th 2014 on live server), having done almost all the storylines, this is the first time I had to write my thoughts about one, the High Isle & Galen storyline which completed last weekend.

Part 1. The story starts great, intriguing, mysterious regardless it's aesthetic problems of characters like Lady Arabelle Davaux which supposed to be a Breton, yet looks similar to The Spiritblood Rites Matron, (a Nord from Reach) giving a pass also to her patronising attitude. I would say is a good story and very enjoying making the player trying to get to Galen and complete the storyline.

Part 2. Galen storyline similarly really good, interesting characters and background story. Top notch.

Part 3. Was excited when going to start this. Expecting to see some great skulduggery, the mysterious Ascendant Lord been some all powerful knight that escapes to return, having screwed the talks and finding a way to port back to mainland the 3 leaders, which will continue the war after the failed talks.

Yet we get a pretty weak story, the main character is a really pathetic old man, which makes no sense compared to the Part 1 storyline and the cinematics. Truly makes absolutely no sense and feels that completely different writers wrote the Part 3 of the story compared to those of Part 1 and hadn't even read the script, nor the person who approved that script had read Part 1.

I feel the writers took JJ Abrams handbook on how to truly annoy the customers by subverting expectations and screwing favourite characters, probably because many, including myself, were rooting for the Ascendant Lord after the initial trailer?

I have my issues with the Part 3 of the Elsweyr storyline, especially the never ending grind of fights against dragons, but it wraps up two great storylines and the story doesn't feel disjointed from the previous parts and overall is good story which left a good feeling when finished it. Like all other storylines in Elder Scrolls Online too which are great, some better then others but all good.

To those haven't done Part 3 of the HI storyline, don't do it.

High Isle story was pretty mid and predictable for me I knew who the big bad Ascendant Lord was like the second time you meet him in High Isle "I'm like your gonna be the big bad I just know it" and months later I was right the last part is just dumb the only cool part was going to the volcano for the final fight and that was it.
Xbox One - NA GT: RebornV3x
I also play on PC from time to time but I just wanna be left alone on there so sorry.
