Sounds like an ISP/network issue at your end. Where are you playing from, and through which ISP? Have you checked with their forum or technical support?

This happens to me as well.

    It only happens in ESO.

It does not happen in other online games.

It does not happen in offline games.

The fact that it ONLY happens in ESO, suggests the problem is ESO-related.

You mean it happens a lot of times ? Or just now ? For me its the first time.
After that i did an install update of radeon graphics card and got vetter results , but still

I did change my computer into a desk but left the doors open. So i imagine it could get a bit warmer there too , however … it was suddenly when starting the game. So it could not be too hot yet.

Or can it ? Can a computer suddenly completely drop fps when not having good air around it ?

My experience has been (over quite a few years - about 20) that an "interior" space in a wood desk or other furnishing even with the doors open doesn't make computers very happy. Fortunately, husband doesn't mind that my desktops sit on my desktop with cables everywhere....

The problem is that even with the doors open, there's not much airflow unless you have a directed airflow from a fan through the interior space, and even then the machine might not be running optimally.

Find good CPU and GPU monitors and track the temps in both.

Use this app to monitor your GPU and CPU temp. Hardware info64 can detect all sensors and show that information to you. It is even possible to create logs, if you need it to see changes during game play etc.

Don't forget to check how much RAM that is allocated during game play in case there is a memory leak or something else that happens while you are playing. You should also be able to see that in HWiNFO64.

You can probably find better video to explain how to use HWiFNO64, but it should get you to understand how to set up and use HWiFNO64:

MS Windows Taskmanager is also a good tool to see if there are any processes that suddenly will spike (taking processing power from CPU).

The following help article goes into detail on some further steps you can take to help with your FPS issues.

What can I do if I am having performance or framerate issues while playing ESO on PC?

Or that it is a network issue affecting the route between your computer and ESO, which is different to the route to every other online game you play, and irrelevant to the offline games. Tracing the route might give you information that could lead to the ISP being asked to re-route the connection. Of course other options remain perfectly feasible, but don't dismiss network issues just because other games run fine on other parts of the network.

    Hello all

I found the solution. It was a computer issue from my side. Had to reboot my system , update BIOS, updat graphic cards and so on

Also had the display cable for 4k in the wrong port (which was the cpu port), so i kind of beought it on myself LOL !

    Thx anyway for all

We appreciate the update that this is resolved and sharing that the issue was with the display cable. As this issue is fixed, we are going to close the discussion moving forward.
