Pipe dream: the mythical second phase of the Justice System proposed when they were developing crime prior to Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood way back when.

Highly opposed by PvE'rs who don't want to see PvP in adventure zones under any circumstance, but in a past thread on this topic, someone proposed tying it to guilds. Join a crime focused guild or a justice focused guild to opt into overland PvP, and only initiate combat against one bounty / assassination target at a time. This would eliminate the chaos of randos wailing on each other all over the place. More so if there were explicit safe zones; like anywhere near a guard, limiting this gameplay exclusively away from player and questing hubs.

I say it's a pipe dream, but... No one expected spell crafting to come through after it went on the back burner for so long either. So I'm holding out a tiny bit more hope than I would have last year for this.

They said it has nothing to do with Cyrodiil. So I'm expecting a new ToT deck. If it's anything actually PvP related I will be happily surprised.

They release a new deck every other update without labeling it PvP. In fact, it's pretty clear that Tales of Tribute is a separate system from PvP as far as update notes go, even if it does technically qualify.

I know there are criticisms to make about ZOS's communication, but this is a weird place to take it. The update might not be what we expect, but it wont be straight up misdirecting at that level.

Maybe make it two teams? Of course there are three alliances, but that has nothing to do with teams for games and that might make balancing and population issues easier.

And seriously, how difficult can it be to add some dropdown options when chosing your BG ? How difficult would it be to do a 6vs6 BG instead of 4vs4vs4
How difficult would it be to create new maps (just copy them out of an existing area from eso)
How difficult would it be to rate players on their level of performance and make it visible ?

It would seem to be that it can be done very easily. But maybe i am not the expert (i definitely aren t ;-)

Here's about what I expect

"In response to years of complaining about ball groups, we have decided to make all attacks automatically bypass crit resistance and armor if you have multiple heals stacks on you."

"In response to years of complaining about the tank meta, we're adding a damage bonus to heavy armor, a penalty to medium, and making you incapable of doing damage if you're wearing light."

because zos announced a pvp feature for update 44.
they haven't revealed what it is yet which is why this thread exists

I bet it's going to be a "dual finder". Kinda like group finder, but for a duel. I bet that's all it's going to be.

There have been great changes in recent years:

- oak ring saved my hands
- bash buffs saved my build
- set change killed all those relying on twin slashes and nothing else.

I expect it to be something meaningless like maybe skins for siege weapons or a new emote similar to the siege weapon emote.

I hope for it to be an actual change like a revamp for Imperial city, battleground's formula, or maybe even a new addition to Cyrodiil but i'm holding my breath for this update because PVP is zos's neglected child and will never be favored.
