Impact of the new daily: Sieges without siege equipment?

The sieges over the last few days were primarily funded (equipment and repair kits) by the kill 20 players quest.

So now that it isn't repeatable - where do we get the AP to buy siege? It's going to make taking keeps a lot more difficult and a lot more selective than it ever was before.

Something you'll never see again - a Forward Camp. That's 7 days worth of dailys.

Agreed. You won't be able to afford Siege equipment or repair kits any more.
The should have kept it repeatable, changed the amount to 100 and adjusted the XP and AP amounts accordingly.

So? Do you need a dozen siege engines per siege, per player? Place them well. And guard them. Suddenly it becomes a lot more inconvenient to just abandon them or allow them to be burned by the enemy... now you can't just pop a new one!

I have never done that quest before yet I have amassed over 45K AP(Only brought one forward camp though.^^). I have no problem buying siege equipment. I spend most of my time in PvE too.

While I understand your concerns I've never had problems earning points without that quest. Sure, it's been a major part of my points, perhaps around 33% or so in beta, but that doesn't mean I won't be able to buy siege now.

That quest had to go, it was ruining the experience with people porting back every 20 kills to turn the quest in, since that was a lot more efficient than staying on the battlefield.

My only annoyance about it is that the quest was in for 2 days giving the people who started off with PvP an advantage for the entire first campaign.

I agree that the quest could be tweeked to discourage the exploiters but they went too far. Something they've been doing a lot of the last two weeks - like the API nerf.

Siege weapons are too squishy and too needed to not be easily available.

Then i hope siege equipment is a lot more durable, and doesnt regrade during use then, otherwise this cannot work.

It depends how hard people want to work for a keep battle - it means you'll end up with a big keep take every week or two weeks, instead of every day.
