There is a trick on the forums that reduces the amount of categories on the main page from view.
When selected a category and all the original posts are visible, right above the name of the category there is a large button (on the left) that says "follow".
1. Click the follow button
2. Some options will appear on a pop-up that will offer different ways of getting notifications. Those don't have to be selected. Also clicking off of the pop-up will automatically save preferences
3. Do this to all favorite or "important to you" categories
4. Return to the homepage of the forums
5. Click on the small text that says "view:all"(located above "news and updates" and on the left side)
6. On the bottom of the screen a pop-up displays two button that say "all" or "following. Click the one that says "following"
7. Refresh
As a result: less categories will be visible on the homepage.
Note: This setting can be reversed or changed.
Also note: The results will only be visible to the individual player who made these preferences.
