What might be the biggest improvement TESO can provide for it's questing expirience?

I personally think that the quests of TESO are amongst the better ones and some amongst the best in MMORPGS. I enjoy most of them but sometimes they leave some room for improvement. What do you think might be the best way to do so?

Multiple choices how to fulfill a quest. For example leathal, stealth, or diplomatic. Choosing a fraction to side with and so on.

Having player characters that are rooted in the world and do not feel like they don't belong. Let the be recognised for who they are! Let player characters have a personalety, a home, a fraction, a religion (if wanted) and reflect them in quest dialog. Because we want to be part of the world!

Write quests that are rooted deep within the lore and don't be shy to let the new players a little in the dark, while the long time TES fans might know a little more.

Have epic quests like the famos guild questlines of the singelplayer TES games. Have awsoem storys in custom locations.

Have enemys that are actually a challange. How is an enemy suposed to be dreadful if you can beat them just like any other? And maybe build them up over multiple (battle) encouters.

Currently we just talk to one NPC at a time. Let our companions and other NPC's be a part of our conversation with a quest NPC! Why do we sometimes just listen and sometimes all the talking? Upgrade the conversation system, so we can talk to multiple NPC's at a time any choose if we want to answer or lat another NPC of our party answer for us!

Give us rewards that actually matter and remind us of a quest. Something that is worth keeping instead of deconstruction for mats or just selling it.

being able to choose a little backstory would be awesome!

so often our characters get called Outlander, Outsider, or other similar words and it's frustrating when you want to roleplay your character being from that place.

Extra dialogue choices for a specific worship/religion or for a faction you're a part of would be awesome too.
sadly can't think of any examples though.

But i know there was a quest in High isle that had an extra dialogue choice for if you have a specific Alchemy skill rank. more of that would be fun!

A backstory that comes up in dialogue or gives advantages/disadvantages for sure. I would also like to be able to replay quests on the same character. There are quests I completed years ago I’d like to revisit with my main.

Let our companions actually get experience from questing, not just killing.

I seem to be the lone vote for this option, but I've felt for a long time that ESO would do well to deviate just a little, sometimes, from its standard, "I need some brave adventurer to help me collect the 4 fragments/keys/seeds/tears/flowers, and place them in the magical flame to call forth/lay to rest the spirit/memory."

Or, harder bosses would be great too.

Something I love about baldur’s gate 3 is that we don’t have to make all the decisions, we can sway our companions one way or another or just have the companions have their own opinions. I don’t want to have to sit there during a quest for 5 minutes googling what each answer does, or choose between one person living or the other. I’d rather not have to make every single choice myself but have the option to.

I can think of at least one game where most quest givers are groups/pairs of characters who banter among themselves when giving quests. It's way more interesting than the 1 on 1 conversations ESO has.

    Get better dialog in general.
I wasn't sure if this was the best option to put down in terms of my opinion but I'm getting pretty sick of the Vestige being written as having the brain capacity of a chestnut. I did the Necrom prologue quest on a different toon recently and was rather bothered to find out that my character didn't have a dialogue option to express that he knew who Hermaeus Mora was. I encountered him in Reaper's March AND Craglorn prior to this, and it totally breaks my immersion in the story when stuff like this happens.

Forced "who are you again?" with no other options in dialogue when you encountered the person you're speaking to an hour before somewhere else makes no sense.

For me, while many of the things mentioned are definitely issues the biggest one for me is the quests frequently simply aren't putting the player in the position of wanting to dive deeper.

Hard choice between the first two, but this seems like the easier option to implement. If I'm the hero of the AD for example then the bare minimum of reactivity should dictate that I'm recognised as such in DLC areas under AD control. As it is now it makes zero difference if I play Summerset as an AD veteran or a Pact Nord who barely stepped off of the boat from Bleakrock. I would like NPCs to react to my race, even if most of them would react negatively, it would be better than complete indifference. Sadly TES has never been good at this, we're constantly told how these and these races hate each other but it never seems to apply to the player character. It'd be even better if the dialogue allowed you to snap back at those who give you grief, but that's probably outside of the scope of a game like ESO.

Compliments on the options in this poll. Except for a missing "all of the above" perhaps ;)
