Tales of Tribute achievements: Card conjurer and Memories of the Spearhead

Hey guys!
Can you tell me what is up with these achievements? I have looted countless tribute reward boxes in any quality and I still havent dropped a SINGLE of those fragments! Is this bugged?
If not, this must be the worst drop rate i have encountered in 10 years ESO history.

I cannot be THAT unlucky??? Can someone confirm they exist?

Yep, got them both but it took a couple of weeks and I had to do the daily random match with multiple characters. It's a grind.

I completed the heavily played tribute cards one a couple of weeks back - so it has been working

I gave up on this quite some time ago because the drop rate is so low and I do not enjoy ToT that much. I am willing to do the grind for a while but can only take so much.

the drop rate is virtually non-existent unless you get purple/gold boxes (gold boxes have the highest rates but require pvp tribute)

It took some time for me, but I managed to get both achievements in the same month, 11 days apart.

Now that I have the Hermaeus Mora deck, I think that I can challenge the founder in Craglorn? Haven't tried that, yet.

They drop, but they’re quite rare. Started playing ToT last Spring, I took a break in between, but I just finished the Card Conjure action yesterday. I think I must have played hundreds of matches (200-300) to get there.

@Sepultura_13 challenge the founder in Craglorn? Do you mean the one that you need for Orgnum? If so, you don’t need Mora for that, just every other available deck before Mora dropped (I think you don’t need Almalexia either).

I completed both of them (20 drops in total) shortly after Necrom and those ToT achievements were released, and I didn't even start to play ToT right away.

So yes, unfortunately you are that unlucky, since they are not bugged and still have the same drop %.

LOL - I should have been more specific; I forgot about the person to play against to get the Orgnum deck. I meant Master Mertrand Vyrix - screenshots added for clarification.

@Seraphayel I wasn't able to challenge him to a tribute match until after I had the Hermaeus Mora deck. I completed Orgnum back in May of last year.

I didn't know about the new founder in Craglorn, gotta check it out tomorrow. I thought you were talking about the High Elf down that cave that you need to defeat before facing the last founder in Coldharbour.

Thanks for all the answers. Not sure what happened, but i managed to drop 2 fragments within 2 days now! o.o This RNG kills me!

I agree that they should rise the drop rate! Even if gold boxes had a drop rate of 50%, you would need to WIN 40 daily PVP matches, which is more than any daily achievement requires in this game. If losing games it would be even more.....

They only drop from Gold Boxes. Yes, it is a massive grind but its a lot faster now than it use to be now that you get the gold boxes once a day on each character. The fastest way to get them is to have atleast 3 or 4 characters that have unlocked TOT then play (and win) PVP matches. Using the daily activity finder you can then get 1x gold box per character and every 3 days a Master Box off the NPC quest giver. So if you have 3 characters and win 3 games a day it will net you 12 gold boxes every 3 days and if you have 4 it will net you 16 gold boxes every 3 days. Your deck and cards are account wide so you can literally create a lvl 1 character, go to high island do the first part of the quest and start pvping with your full deck.

I have never seen either fraqment drop from anything less than a master/gold box.

I think they do. I have gotten some purple boxes iirc. And there's a dude that tracked their npc matches and it took them 400 matches to unlock it. NPC matches don't award gold boxes.

Ok, yeah I don't play NPCs and have unlocked tot on enough characters that I only get either white (cause I lost) or Gold boxes, from my personal experience I would say my own drop rate was between 1 out of 3 to 1 out of 4 from the gold boxes. I remember when it first came out and you could only get gold boxes from winning 3 games daily, that I never got any from the blue or purple boxes. Plus you would have to play 9 games just to get 3 gold boxes. Now you can get 3 gold boxes from 3 games and 6 from 3 games every third day.

Yes, i dropped the two fragments also from gold boxes!

Despite being able to obtain gold boxes easier now, this achievement just takes so much time effectively. Once ranking up on the monthly tier, winning games just gets so much harder and in general the matches are really time consuming too. But saving the PVP quest for three days is a good hint! Did not consider that

I am on 6/10 and 7/10 and all I do I playing the NPC daily.

Which means 3 games/green boxes and a purple one from the quest giver per day.

I can confirm, that those fragments also drop from the normal green coffers from NPC matches.

So I’ve been playing ToT for three months straight, receiving two gold and one purple reward boxes every day. Yet I’ve only acquired four heavily played cards and two scraps of the spearhead.

Is this normal? Or is it terrible misfortune with RNG.

I'd say it's probably normal. RNG can be brutal, whether in ToT or otherwise.

Disappointed that after three months I can’t get an achievement that is locked behind RNG as opposed to skill.

Actually that's pretty good rng!

I started farming with one character for one month, than with three characters for one month and finally thirteen characters for one month, doing both dailies, pve and pvp.

After update 46 both cards dropped only from pvp golden reward coffers for me.

Farming psijic portals in Elsweyr is a piece of cake compared to these two achievements.

Yet, from time to time, I can still enjoy playing ToT.

That means 180 gold coffers for 6 card drops.

30 gold coffers for 1 card drop equals 3,33%.

My drop rate was lower... *sigh*

Wait, people are getting these?

I have two scraps and one card, and I haven't seen any more since they started dropping over a year ago. This drop rate is entirely too low.

I agree. Maybe there was an RNG error that occurred over the last year, that may have been overlooked?
