No-proc is a joke.

ZOS, you should be appalled by the implementation of no-proc. There are zero in-game indicators to show which sets work, zero updated official resources out-of-game to show what sets work, and little to no consistency on what is actually considered a proc or not.

Imagine if CounterStrike had a gamemode where 50% of the weapons you were allowed to bring into the game didn't fire when you clicked your mouse - and if said gamemode never told you which weapons actually worked and which didn't.

It's a joke. Implement a UI that shows which sets work or don't, or get rid of the campaign. It's completely ridiculous to leave something like that for the players to figure out, and even more ridiculous considering some sets that should absolutely work there simply don't.

    Totally agree.

The list of sets has barely been updated, and I have not seen a single zenimax comment on the environment since it was implemented years ago.

The sets are outdated, too few in number, and not suitable for the changes in meta. There is an obvious disinterest in the environment as well, as reflected by the population often reaching a maximum of 2 bars on each faction during prime time on a weekend, despite the other two campaigns being pop locked with lengthy queues.

At this point, the environment (and no-CP IC) need to be converted to just plain no-CP like battlegrounds, or a massive effort needs to be made to enable a new ruleset in there. The commonly requested one I've seen is just that sets which do damage or heal outside of your abilities are disabled, rather than any set with a "proc" condition.

Personally, I think the former is more suitable - much more easy to just convert it back to normal no-CP pvp at this point.

They just need to revert it back to same rules as Battlegrounds. NoCP pvp only.

completely agree that no proc has a lot of problems associated of it that have never been addressed, namely the being unable to tell in game if your set is even working or not

i honestly suspect most no proc players are going to end up just going with the new mythic from U41 to do no proc

cant test it as i dont have the PTS, but i would assume it does as its all passive stats (+dmg, +recov, +dmg reduction)

I had no problems checking the armor sets I am using or have used in the past.
The few times a month I go into Cyrodiil or Imperial City, I use the no-proc variant.

while that is helpful, that still heavily relies on players doing their own testing and maintaining a list

it should mark in game, in red text, that a set bonus wont function in a campaign at least when you are loaded into the no proc cyro campaign, but it doesnt do this

    The problem is two-fold:

    1) the list isn't official, and relies on players testing each and every set, each and every patch (as ZOS will often change if a set is allowed there without ever mentioning it in patch notes)

    2) This forum is a tiny portion of the player base. Players should not be expected to visit another player's post on a forum they can't even participate in without getting approval just to know if the gear they're wearing will work or not. Many players likely don't even know this site exists.

I would've assumed Order's Wrath worked after it was introduced as well, but it took months for ZOS to allow it in no-proc.

yeah, just another one of the problems with no proc is that it seems zos has to update the list of allowed sets manually lol

I do agree that they need to actually put effort into that campaign and add a list or in game information to what sets will and will not work, but I am not sure I agree to removing the no-proc rule entirely. It's one of the reasons I play on that campaign as my main. However, it's been a very long time since I even considered doing a BG, so I've not tried procs without CP for a long time and can't remember if it is the CP that is the only problem, or if Procs are a problem too.

I like the no proc, no CP campaign. It levels the playing field to skill.

At least I know that a player is killing me...not a bunch of procs.

The issue isn't the ruleset. The ruleset is fine, it's nice having the option to take away some of the crazy procs out there.

But ZOS basically thought up the idea, put it into the game, then promptly dropped all support for it. THAT'S the problem. It's ridiculous that they provide literally 0 official resources on a campaign that strips players of the majority of sets in the game.

CP generally contributes to tankiness more than proc sets - so BGs tend to be a much lower time to kill than other environments.

Certain mythics do. From the top of my head, Gaze of Sithis, Markyn, Wild Hunt, Torc of Tonal Constancy, Malacath's Band. Some popular mythics such as Snow Treaders and Death Dealer's Fete do not work, though.

I can understand frustrations around this campaign, but I think zos is generally disinterested in making PvP updates, so there won't be any actual changes to the ruleset, updating the set conditions, etc for some time.

I would play in no proc more often, but the pop problem makes it impossible to pvp sometimes. Though no one's to blame other than the devs for not supporting it after the initial change.

I just think zos is at this point where they generally don't have much interest in updating anything PVP related, leaving me highly skeptical about the 2024 "pvp update" when the already existing pvp environments and the relatively "new" one in Ravenwatch is being completely neglected.

It’s definitely time to bring Ravenwatch back to a normal campaign. It was my favorite campaign but now the sets that make certain classes viable aren’t allowed in there. Play DK or NB or play a different campaign haha.

The new mythic seems like, in my by no means definitive opinion, an implication that they'd rather take the path of least resistance in this matter. I hope that we see something done about no cp sooner rather than later.

IMO, ZOS probably feels like they're doing us a favor by maintaining Cyro and IC. It's probably true.

I completely gave up hope during the postern wall hole bug. I don't know how long it took them to fix it because that's when I started my 5 year or so break. I think it came out around that time they had like one software developer remaining who was familiar with Cyro and they had other things to do.

I would bet that back around that time corporate leaders @ zenimax wanted to scrap cyrodiil pvp entirely. It obviously doesn't make any money for them and adds very little value to the average ESO player.

Maybe someone at Microsoft Gaming better understand the revenue potential of a properly working PVP game and the potential of AvA.
