Is it possible to find flax in higher level?

Hi, I'm leveling clothing and I need to find flax, but I'm in level 32 and all I can find is spider silk and cotton, I just can't find any flax, and I wonder if is it possible to find it or is just because I'm above of level 26, all I can get is just spider silk. And how can I continue leveling clothing without flax... Or the only way is buying it?

The materials you'll see in the world will match either your character level or the level of your crafting skill (the Tailoring passive for clothing) with a roughly even split. Looks like you'd need T2 Tailoring to find flax. Cotton is the material for the level range your character is in (26-34), so I'm guessing you have T4 tailoring which is getting you spider silk. If your clothing skill is already that high, I'm curious what you're doing that requires flax.

As far as leveling, deconstructing gear you don't need and doing daily crafting writs will be your best bets for gaining crafting exp. Writs will also reward boxes of assorted materials, which helps provide mats of various levels that you can't gather yourself.

Do you have a daily crafting writ left over from when you were below Level 26, or from when you had fewer points into crafting skill line, and it requires flax? Just drop it and go take a new writ from the board. Writs will always ask for material that matches your current crafting level. If your crafting level changes between picking up the quest and actually doing the quest then you can lock yourself out of easily acquiring the materials. But you can always drop a writ and go right back to the board in town and pick up a new writ (which should now ask for cotton gear, not flax).

Here is MY trick to leveling material crafting skills... DECONSTRUCTION. This is how I level the crafting skills- Blacksmithing, Clothing, Woodworking and Jewelry. I run dolmens in Alik'r for HOURS, and deconstruct all the gear that I get- and dolmens are a great source of jewelry to deconstruct. However, you really won't start getting big jumps in your skill line until you reach level 50 and start acquiring the highest level gear. Then, your crafting skill lines will start moving in much larger chunks.

Some people hate this method because it involves farming dolmens for HOURS, but IMO it's the easiest way to not only level your character, level your skills, gain CP (at level 50), but also level your crafting skills. Also, if you have companions, it helps level them too... and rapport gets major gain with Mirri (every time you collect the dolmen chest), Bastian (every time you kill cultists at the beginning of the dolmen w/5 min cooldown) and Isobel (every time you kill a difficulty monster w/5 min cooldown). You also level your Fighters Guild skill line quickly this way as well.

So there are a LOT of benefits to doing dolmen runs, if you don't mind the grind and repetitive nature. I work at a factory, I'm use to repetition.
