At this point I think they forgot Templars exist

I refuse to believe that ZOS made an active decision to keep Templar out of Week 1 without the intent to blow everyone out of the water Week 3.

    Ugh

On the one hand, I'm relieved that no horrifying changes were made to Templar in week 1.

On the other hand, I'm just waiting for horrifying changes to be made to Templar in the following weeks.

Don't worry guys, I'm sure it will be fine...yes...totally fine... * eye twitch *

No change also means that Templars at least won't get another nerf. I'm relieved about that...

No nerf is good, but templar have to many not working abilities too. They are too niche skills not worty to slot without one specific build.

As much as players don't want to admit, sometimes this is a good thing for game design. You don't want too many cross content spells otherwise you end up with overloaded spells that don't feel impactful or match the class identity.

But you can go too far, like for templar where they shifted the DPS around jabs, so now for everything you gotta spam that one button. Doesn't feel as good as having a couple of interesting mechanic spells that make you think about bar space.

Jabs spam was a best thing templar ever had. Right now he feel hollow. I wan't my jabs spam back to be able to return to game. It was easy mechanic just spam jabs to kill and second bar was survive. Right now everything are tanky as hell and jabs didn't work. To make jabs return people need to be less tanky or some abilities like major evasion and undeath need nerfs or changes for jabs to work again.

There's a templar class in this game?

I’ve played Templar for 5 years I even adapted to the ridiculous animation changes to jabs I play it because I enjoy beaming people. But it seems eso wants to turn Templar back into a healing class and I sense u42 will move Templar back towards this

I am angry though we get nothing for u41 and not even a explanation why

Don't worry, Templar is getting it's well needed Radiant destruction buff in the next patch notes. Rejoice Templar mains

Slotting radiant opression replaces all other skills on your bar, but now heals for 100% of damage done, give major and minor resolve, root snare immunity, major brutality and sorcery, and removes a debuff for each tic. If you cancel Radiant opression before the final tick, it stuns your enemy and roots them. When your ultimate is full, get one instant cast of full power radiant opression.

We need a hard cc, explosive charge should do a 3 second stun OR a root, ALL the time, not just if something is casting, that would make it in line with dk talons. It doesn't need to put anything off balance, or interrupt, just a 4 second root or a 2 second stun. The application of cc immunity after the stun will keep it from being OP. The nerf to tormentor puts us templar tanks even further down on the totem pole.

I've been floundering around trying to find a way to tank that is as effective as a dk and it's just not happening. You basically end having to burn through all your resources just to get the same effect that is so easy for a dk and half the other classes. Almost everything has some sort of cc that isn't situational, templars really don't have anything.

I’m pretty sure I heard Gina say in one of the live streams recently that they are not looking at Templars this update. Makes me think there’s a lot going on with Templars behind the scenes that we’re not privy to yet! Here’s hoping.

They still haven't reverted the jabs animation, despite the loud and unanimous outcry to do so. It feels like templars are the forgotten class, almost as bad as necro's. Class balance doesn't seem like it's getting much, if any, attention from ZOS now days.

At this point i just don t really care if they destroy 99% of the templar class (looks like they don t know the class exists anyway).
But at least let me have that 1% of fun. Give me my jabs animation back !!! (previus U36)

I don t think it will happen, but, i still can dream a little.

I'm a Templar main who spends most of their time in BG's. I'm still holding true to the old jabs-spam playstyle, but from what I see the most effective way to play Templar is to jump up and down inside your little healing circles and spam javelins and beams at everyone from a safe distance. Mist-Form away if you get hit with a light-attack or something.

A far cry from the absolute CHAMPIONS of the battlefield that they used to be. Reduced to little more than annoying pests, scrounging for kills they didn't earn from the periphery of the action. Truly a sad sight when one remembers what Templars used to be.

What I'd like to see for Templar:

Jabs: the "primary" target counts as single-target damage so that it bypasses evasion.

Nerf beam and move that power to other abilities such as POTL (this feedback has been given so much it feels silly to be typing it again).

    Make POTL worth slotting again.

It's not gonna happen but I wish you guys would just take the L and revert the jabs animation. Literally everyone hates it. Would be an ez slam-dunk with your Templar mains.
