One of many reasons why PvP isn't popular

It also doesn’t help that the servers are garbage and the pop caps low. I queued for 90 minutes only to crash twice at a big fight at Ash and then it takes 10 mins to log back in, all the while hoping that I won’t have to requeue. Absolute utter garbage.

100% agree, when this happens people just want to log off 90% of the time. Zergs hardly want to just win the campaign, they want to win and completely dominate other factions, this is how campaigns end up dying. On Playstation we've had factions that are so heavily gated that the zergs show up to defend a resource before you can even flip it.

Once had a 12 man DC zerg show up to stop me from flipping a resource while owning the full map and having 2+ bars

The main reason PVP is not popular is very simple!

You have just defeated a 100ft monster in PVE solo and everyone in PVE mobs are talking about how badass your are!

You port to Cyrodill to see how much of a bad ass you have become. You look at the map you see a fight on the map you port there..

You walk out of the keep within 2 secs your insta killed. So you go to utube and start learning about PVP builds and you put on on and the same thing happens just now its 3 secs.... You say screw it like 80% do or your one of the 20% that decide to join a large PVP guild and try to learn the tricks of the trade.

Then you either graduate to small 3-6 group play or ball groups ... This is PVP today.

One of the reasons are ballgroups' heal stacking, who've progressively chased away the rest of the community from the PvP sphere as well. ZOS refusing to deal with that issue specifically have caused progressive repercussions where people no longer want anything to do with PvP at all.

This is definitely a good reason, especially when two alliances work together just to keep one alliance gated and scroll less (it happens, we all know it does.).

You also have to consider what others have said too that the servers are still just God awful performance wise. On console the game doesn't care what system you play on, old gen or current gen, everyone is hitting bluescreens still, lag is still a thing, everyone is still stuck in combat even when you're just standing somewhere solo with no fighting going on whatsoever, skills aren't even being registered or working half the time, honestly, Cyro is a mess right now. One alliance painting the entire map their color sure doesn't help but neither does the performance of Cyro altogether.

With that said, I'd like to see them either get rid of the 3 faction war and make it 2 or whichever alliance is zerging the map then increase guard and keep strength at the opposing keeps. Just some ideas to slow this sort of thing down, you want to take the entire map then you should have to work for it instead of just steamrolling everything

Telel will tell you several major secrets. The ones that reveals how to become instantly better at PVP, and escape the frustrations that 'chase' so many from the servers. Or which seem them go full Bobby and run off to become yet another PVdoorlord reliant on an entire faction just to take a keep from NPCs.

    1) Join a group that will teach you the basics rather than using you as another body to stack yet another empty keep.

    2) Be willing to work with the group you've joined. Which WILL require you to slot skills, and sets that help your group mates. It will also require you to come out of stealth and engage targets you don't outnumber.

Oh, and yes this will require you to eventually get into some manner of VOIP. Or run your own groups...

    3) You're not 'soloing' when there are other team mates around you. You are however now surrounded by team mates who refuse to accept points one and two.

If you're not solo then you might as well be in a group. If you're not in a group you shouldn't be hanging around the herd. Unless you like being farmed.

If you choose to run with the herd then you've chosen to end up in the slaughter chute.

    4) Remember you can always lead a group that meets your own personal criteria. It's not to hard.
