Hews Bane Lost Pearls quest near impossible to complete

So it appears you need to collect the 10 pearls required to complete this Spencer Rye quest off the boss herself - they are not scattered around the boss zone like most if not all other WB quests...but during the current event there are many, many players bombing the boss, so only the top 12 dds can collect anything off the boss, including the pearls.

Which means this event quest cannot be completed by a lot of players. It's a wasted event quest.

Yes the crowds are a serious problem. I wish that ZOS had put some thought into mitigating it during the event, but nope.

I know this doesn’t help much, but:

Some non-boss Lamia drop pearls.
I had some luck throwing Regen around so if someone else killed the mobs I got credit for assisting the kills, and by extension pearls off the corpses. Might be worth a shot if you’ve got a Resto staff.

If you see someone coming up behind you and you are able please be courteous and leave a few HP on the mobs so they can get credit for the kills too. We’re all stuck with this crummy quest design together.

I never got any pearls from the boss, They are collected from the Lamia spawns around the boss location. That's how it works for me anyway.

In the instances I've done the quest during the current event, the boss gets taken down so quickly the adds don't have time to appear. It's literally blink, turn away to grab something or take a swig from a cup and boom - you missed it.

There are Lamia that spawn nearby and aren't linked to the boss. You can get the pearls from them, they drop for you as long as you have the quest. It is a bit of a PITA since they take a while to respawn, but you can complete the quest easily enough given several minutes.

In fact, you don't even need to kill or damage the boss here to complete the quest. If she's not spawned you just loot that bag for the Silver Pendant.
