An Embarrassing Question.
So...is it bad that I don't really know what I'm doing?
I can't resist looting every single container that I find, hunting for books and reading them all, grabbing every resource I see, doing random quests, and all-too-often...I mistake an actual player for an NPC and sit there for a few seconds trying to initiate a conversation.
P.S. I would like to rip out my windows key and throw it into Oblivion.

How is this not knowing what you are doing? This is called enjoying the game!
I do the same thing.
I play this game as I do any other ESO game. I look through all the containers, all the bookshelves, harvest and pick things as I go along, fish ... all as I quest.
It's a new MMO and ripe for exploration. So go out there and enjoy yourself!
