Best weapon trait on your front bar lightning destro?

Been away from the game way before hybridization and not sure what to use.

Nirn w/ shock
Sharpened w/shock
Infused w/weapon damage
Charged w/ shock

Thanks in advance! I know this place used to be filled with great information and lots of math whizz’s .

i think its going to depend on your build

nirn does +dmg (as it adds about 200 pts of dmg to the weapon)
    sharpened is +crit chance

i think those 2 are probably the most ideal

infused is usually used on a backbar weapon to improve potency/uptime of the buff (such as the +weapon/spell dmg enchant)

charged is only used on some builds, but i dont think its that useful on a destro since ele sus already applies 3 status effects nearly 100% uptime, and all charged does is improve chance of applying status effects

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    sharpened is +crit chance

Sharpened is penetration. Probably not a good choice for a destro due to destro having penetration passive and, if wearing light armor like many staff wielders, you get penetration from light armor passives.

Precise is crit chance. And while light armor also has crit chance passive, you can't really over-crit the way you over-penetrate, so precise would be a good trait.

woops lol, sometimes get those backwards sometimes lol

i would agree with that assessment that penetration is not needed for staves

Thank you for all the replies!

Should of probably specified my setup to *** help clarify!

I'm using this with a unique heavy armor build so was just looking for the most damage.

I'm guessing based on the response nirn will be the best bet for me maybe sharpened although I have very low crit chance as well.

usually you want to aim for a crit chance of at least 35-40% at a minimum of your going for a dps spec, anything lower than that and it will start to noticeably impact your dmg

I’d go sharpened or precise over nirn in your situation. Think about other skills you are using too, for example if ising crit surge on a sorc you may want to go precise to get more crits

Definitely go sharpened. It is the most damage trait for a weapon in PvP (i remember this being in the PvP section and not PvE). You rarely will overpenetrate in PvP, since most people run 25-30 resistances.
The exception would be some build including already high penentration like shattering fate or balorgh, then crit damage is a very sought after stat too, which is bound to axes tough.
The third option for a staff is charged, if you are focused dealing damage with force pulse and status effects.
But never go precise, nirn also lands flat unless you already have tons of penetration (like 20k+).
