Performance issues since the Megaserver maintenance Nov 28

Is anyone experiencing performance issues ever since the megaserver maintenance on Nov 28 took place?

I have had several instances of the game being essentially unplayable. I'd get kicked out of the server, rubber band like crazy, etc. It all began happening after that maintenance. It is only with this game; other games perform normally. It is not my internet (diagnostics during these time periods show no disruption in service, no data packet loss, etc. and in PSN voice chat I do not sound laggy/no one else does either). Thankfully, it has only happened a few times, but will last the whole time I am playing (entire raid, etc). Several of my friends have also experienced the same thing on several occasions, with one friend having this issue continuously (daily) since the maintenance; another had it for about a week but it has since resolved spontaneously.

For my friends who were experiencing these issues continuously, rebuilding the ps5 database, deleting and reinstalling the game, resetting internet (they also reportedly had no connectivity issues with their internet, and other games ran perfectly, but they still reset), restarting everything, etc. does not resolve the issue.

Performance on PC/NA is worse, too.
More lag, abilities not firing or delayed, not within range until almost within 'touching' distance, and not going 'out of combat' to loot dead bodies until moments after badguys are dead, and usually requiring weapon swap to loot.

The usual, ability not firing, can't break-free, weapon swap not working but ability firing does (and fired wrong abilities..), also now the game sometimes freezes for 1-2 seconds when changing map scale.


My question is why? The population is not much higher now but 2-3 years ago it's relatively fine until a certain point. Lag in PvE never happened, and charge and pull in BG always worked.

I'm on PC EU and for me performance has gotten worse as well. Not too bad in overland but boss fights and dungeons often feel like slow motion, abilities don't fire/are quite delayed. I'm on an older computer though, Ryzen 5 2600+ Radeon RX550, So that may be part of the problem.

For performance issues on PC, we have this article with steps which may help. As mentioned above, we would recommend opening a ticket if those steps did not resolve the issue.

I have tried these along with the stuff I listed above in the original post. This issue remains a problem so I will open a ticket. To your knowledge though, is there any reason for that recent Nov 28 maintenance to contribute to something like this? Again, it is ONLY present with ESO; no other online PS5 games have this problem.
