We NEED these updates to PvP/Cyrodiil/Imperial City Sewers... Thoughts?

As somebody who has played ESO since launch on Xbox and PC it goes without saying that ESO is by far my favorite gaming experience. Yes it’s had its ups and downs, but for me it is here to stay. As an avid PvPer however… I find Cyrodiil can be sometimes uneventful. I miss the glory days of Imperial City Sewers where you had all out war and chaos going on in somewhat close quarters combat instead of open field battle. You had powerful bosses that you had to be wary of and a cool system where you earned currency, but it could also be stolen from other players…

This brings me to my main topic that I think it would be cool to see a new PvP zone… or amending Cyrodiil to be more like the Imperial City Sewers… or amending Sewers to be more rewarding. It would be a breath of fresh air to have a new PvP zone dlc come into the game. I have brainstormed many ideas. I will list them below as well as some changes I think would be cool to see in Cyro or Sewers.

1. A cyrodiil like zone.
There are two keeps with two teams between 20-40 players per team. That match lasts until one team loses their keep. Siege is allowed and required to open the enemy keep. Maybe matches last from anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour?

2. Adding some sort of Boss to Cyrodiil that can attack enemy keeps and siege/destroy the walls.
If defeated it will drop an orb power up that you can take to an enemy keep to have it destroyed. Similar to the Rift Herald in League of Legends. It also rewards AP to the Alliance who did the most dmg to it as well as give them a golden reward box sent to their player mail that has special Gold quality rewards? Make this like a 20-40mil health boss. Maybe most of its attacks are AOE and it doesn’t really focus players. Just the keep it’s attacking.

3. Adding a new artifact similar to volendrung in Cyrodiil.
Maybe a destruction staff or bow? Auriel’s bow or sanguines rose or skull of corruption? Maybe it can be an armor piece like the Ebony Mail etc. just a thought.

4. Improving Imperial City Sewers rewards.
I think it would bring life back to ICS if we allow players to buy upgrade materials with Tel Var stones such as tempering alloy, druegh wax, etc. Maybe add in some new bosses to the rotation that drop new monster gear?

5. Adding a new zone that is a hybrid of Cyrodiil and Sewers.
Players can earn a special currency similar to ICS or even just use Tel Var as its currency. Allow PvPvE like sewers. Maybe have keeps involved, but kind of do a blend of PvP and PvE.

6. Add more towns to Cyrodiil.
Make it rewarding for players to go to different parts of the map other than just Zerg keeps if they do choose. There are already a few small towns/POI that can be used.

7. Add AP to dueling.
This would be huge. As the dueling community is quite vast and gets no rewards for dueling. To stop exploiting easy AP gain just reduce the amount of AP earned after dueling the same person over and over. OR make an AP cap per hour or day from dueling.

Anyways thanks. We need to breath more life back into PvP. These are some of my ideas and I think they could be great additions if added. Lets make PvP more rewarding and fun...

    they had plans slated to add more artifacts like volendrung to cyrodiil, but testing revealed that they just further increased lag, and plans for further artifacts have likely been shelved for the time being unless they can figure out performance issues

    the reason there is no AP for dueling is because its too easy to cheese it, you could just sit there and "trade wins" with someone and basically farm AP without any actual effort (its actually already possible to do that with the achievement to win 100 duels and a 2nd account lol)

    even if you did add a boss to cyrodiil that would attack a keep, why would it not focus players? and secondly you would have to give it like 200+ million hp so it didnt die instantly (im guessing you werent around when the deadlands released, there were 10 mil hp wandering world bosses and at launch they were getting killed in approx 5-10 seconds with 30 players attacking them)

    the rest of the suggestions i dont think would be ideal, BGs already have a small enough population as is and trying to add another instanced map that has a 2 team keep battle would likely be hard to find a match if it needed 20-40 people (its hard enough finding 12 for a BG)

    the only suggestions i would have for IC would be to remove respawning based on owned districts, and curate gear dropped by trove scamps

    For these three I think they would be great additions if done properly. I think adding another weapon in would be good still. On PC NA during prime time with hammer I usually don’t have lag issues. I think they could just add a different weapon in the rotation.

    For the boss thing, I was not around. I think the bosses focus would just be better focused on the keep. Aoe attacks could attack the players instead of doing light attacks and chasing players around. Or have it spawns adds that attack players. Would break up the monotony.

    For dueling, you could just add a daily AP cap and have the AP dwindle after dueling the same player after 3 times. It already functions like that in Cyrodiil so it would work perfectly fine. If not just do an AP cap per day on dueling or even an AP cap per hour. Hell even just having the AP dwindle after consecutive similar duels would work fine. Of course you would still be able to earn way more AP in Cyrodiil compared to dueling, but at least you’d be rewarded with something. It could be added fairly easy and safeguarded from exploitation very easily.

    for the artifact thing, that is something that is stated by the devs that it likely wont happen because of performance problems, they had originally planned on releasing the auriels bow as the next artifact several years ago but didnt because of the problems the hammer generated

    they in fact had at least 2 additional artifacts planned, but were never implemented (auriels bow, and sanguines rose)

    theres also a ton of people that absolutely despise the hammer too, for either the lag it can generate, or its mechanics in general (encouraging faction stacking)

    Yea it would have been cool to see a bow weapon. That sucks. Hammer is pretty lame sometimes. I don’t go near it usually, but I wonder now would be a better time since from my perspective performance got a lot better. At least on PC NA it has.

    It looked so good and I wish they would do his concept.

    The things Cyrodiil needs most is more server resources so they can restore the population cap that we had in 2018.

    Nothing more needs to happen until after reasonable population caps are restored. Just look at how much more fun Cyrodiil was when they raised the cap briefly for the test they just did. Even with some performance issues Cyrodiil was way more fun, and the pop cap during the test was still just a fraction of what it was in 2018.
