Verandis not acknowledging our Vampirism

I completed all the Rivenspire storyline, and was somewhat disappointed that one of the main protagonist of the storyline has not even once mentioned or referenced my vampiric state.

Have you done the same thing folks?

I think it's always been that way. I don't do that kind of content (hate vampires and werewolves - would only do it if I could kill them all) but I'm pretty sure there's been many posts on here about it.

I've just thought the same yesterday. I'm obviously vampiric, but no one notices. Maybe they are just too polite to acknowledge it.

Like body odour. You wouldn't tell someone you didn't know very well that they needed a bath. (Using holy water instead of tap water in this case)

I wasn''t a vampire when I played the Rivenspire storyline, but I do understand, that you are dissapointed. I remember that Abnur Tharn once reacted in the south elweyr storyline, when I told him that I'm necromancer. That was a really cooI reaction. Hm, I really miss this old sarcastic 'rogue'. :)

There are simply too many variables to account for without adding too many more lines of dialogue requiring more recording sessions.

174 characters and counting over 13 accounts.

120 writ certified. 73 at CP rank.

It would be great if NPCs recognized our race where relevant — thankfully this is the case in some places, but it is jarring when there is a conversation where it should be recognized but it is not. And same with vampirism in this case and the Greymoor questlines (someone correct me if I am wrong please!)

I generally feel that way and have never played a vampire or werewolf previously, but meeting Fennorian and Verandis in the Greymoor questline changed my mind — then I was upset that I can’t be a vampire more like them and instead only have alchemical monstrosity forms as ults… I also made my first necromancer after the quest with Vastarie in Elsweyr, thinking I’d also have access to some unique anti-undead abilities… Ah well.

When the game first launched, each zone had a static level range. The shrines to become a vampire or werewolf were in the last zone of each alliance; I'm not sure if traveling to the shrine would put you in danger if you were underleveled. With that in mind, since Rivenspire is only the third Covenant zone, it's possible the developers assumed the player wouldn't become a vampire until Bangkorai. I guess that doesn't rule out Cadwell's Silver and Gold, but those were originally framed as "what if" possibilities rather than that the events were literally happening.

Since Verandis' dialogue was re-recorded with Markarth, I'm surprised that there was no new dialogue added acknowledging the player's vampirism. That said, in Unhallowed Grave, Fennorian will say "I would never dare expose another vampire without their blessing..." so perhaps Verandis is being polite. Some of the dialogue options at the start of "Dream-Walk into Darkness" would be odd for a vampire to say, but I don't think you have to choose them.

Most of the lines in the original content were static. They didn’t start adding lines that acknowledged achievements and such until the DLC content.
    Playing since beta...

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's lore related.

    Thank you for your understanding

    Ah, I see.

So, feelings aside - it is what it is. Sure, it's great when main chars like Abnur, Verandis, or even ones having a comeback - Mel Adrys for instance - make a remark.

But overall YES, I have noticed that here and there there are some references to our previous actions or our race.

Which is what I love ESO for (no, this is not irony).

Not entirely true. There is, just once, a point during the story where vampires get a single line of special dialogue with Verandis.

    Spoiler:
Basically when you're coming closer to the Heart, your character can ask Verandis if you can absorb from it too. Verandis says it's possible, but is it worth changing your thirst for blood for void energy.
